((Medical Officer Offices, Deck 12, USS Astraeus ))
(( Five days after Frontier Day ))
Saa: …Their behavior towards you isn’t acceptable, perhaps inevitable based on humanoid nature, but not acceptable in the slightest.. ::Taking up the PADD, she began the painful process of data transfer from all the reporting doctors and nurses.:: …Dr. Fianna, I want to ask how you are, which is an incredibly naive and stupid question, so instead I want to ask “ would you like to… what is the terran term… vent about it?”
Fianna: Vent? ::She looked at Sevantha in disbelief.:: Do I want to vent? No! I want everything to go back to the way it was, the way things should have been the whole time - no changelings, no Borg, no watching myself hurt and kill people... ::Tears welled in her eyes, but she straightened and rose from her seat, clearing her throat as she prepared to leave.:: No. I do not want to vent. I just want to be back to normal.
oO ...Way to shove your foot in your mouth, Sevan. Oo
Sometimes she really needed to refresh her cultural understanding of Terrans as opposed to Betazoids when it came to emotional communication. Immediately Sevantha stood up following the eruption and took a few steps forward in pursuit. Sending Fianna back down the hall with tears in her eyes towards those nurses wouldn’t serve her fellow doctor any better. In fact, now she worried it would feed some new gossip that she’d voiced an opinion in favor of their beliefs she couldn’t accept either.
Saa: Doctor Fianna… I’m sorry it was an attempt to offer help in the ways I know how, which I understand, may not be in the way you need.
She’d take a few more steps to tail her fellow doctor, accepting that any answer given may come with anger, animosity, and frustration that manifested on the subject. i
Fianna: If you want to help, go talk to the rest of the crew and convince them I am not a monster. ::She turned to leave.::
Saa: I intend on it! ::She replied:: I- I am not the voice anyone is going to listen to on that subject matter, but I intend to speak to the person who will assure the behavior changes and steps are taken to properly educate this crew how you were some of the worst victims in all of this…
Sevantha tried not to lose Fianna but if she chose to leave, she couldn’t stop her.
Fianna: Response.
Saa: …What you endured was horrible, telepathic control and removal of an individual's autonomy is one of the highest crimes in the Federation… it was a form of torture you all endured and not just something a person can will themselves out of, and if one did manage to do so? They’d have more strength then anyone if those halls gossiping could ever hope to have. ::She declared her opinion firmly before softening a little:: …Fianna?
Fianna: Response
Saa: What... in your mind should things be like?
Fianna: Response
