(( Bridge, USS Berlin))

Genkos was in the Captain’s seat, and he was never going to wear a groove in it at this rate. Not with the amount of shifting, twisting and perching that he was doing. He could not be described as comfortable in that seat, either literally or metaphorically.

Adea: Are we able to communicate with Talos, or will that alert them to our position… and Talos’?

Lorana: If I modulate the frequency to match the interference of the nebula, The Artemis wouldn't be able to find it. It's like a penny in the straw bundle :: Turns to Adea :: That would only work if they aren't filtering the background interference. If so, trained eyes would definitely catch it as suspicious.

Genkos frowned as he considered the risk of sending it.

Yellir: That could work, we could also try bombarding their subspace relays with messages to add a bit of extra cover.

He pointed a slender finger at their pink-skinned companion.

Adea: Oh, yes do that then.

Lorana: Sir, we're running out of safe space.

A message appeared on Genkos’ display, and he looked down at it.

"To USS Berlin helm. Be advised: The USS Artemis-A has the right of way’’

Genkos let out a soft snort of laughter as he imagined Vitor chuckling to himself as he sent that.

Lorana: :: beat :: The Artemis is blind.

Adea: Then we better get out of their way. I don’t think Addison would thank me for any scratches on her hull/

Lorana: Yes, sir.

There was a sudden jolt as the Berlin began to violently shake. Genkos gripped the arms of his chair hard, and waited for a damage report.

Lorana: Commander, we've entered a dense pocket formation, the shields are taking heavy damage from particles. At 70%.

Genkos looked over at their engineer.

Adea: Anything we can do?

Yellir: Switching shields to a static configuration and remodulating to compensate.

Lorana: Lieutenant Sax follow the path I just sent to you.

Sax did so, and Genkos relaxed as the shaking subsided a little. However, Luxa looked annoyed - possibly with herself.

Lorana: :: disappointed:: I'm sorry Commander. It came out of nowhere. The new path takes us right beside the Artemis. There really isn't any hiding anymore. Or we risk getting deeper into the nebula. The good thing is, it will be easier to send a comm signal to Commander Dakora.

Yellir: To be fair, our sensors aren’t what they usually are, we can’t see all the road bumps, can we?

Adea: No, that’s true. Will they be able to see us… you know, visually?

Lorana: Response

Yellir: That tractor beam and signal bombardment should be just about ready to go, Captain. We should be able to knock out two birds with one stone.

Lorana: Response

Adea: Fire when ready.

Lorana/Yellir: Response

Genkos was taken aback by the sheer force of damage that they seemed to do to the Artemis as they activated their barrage and beam. He looked at his officers.

Adea: That wasn’t all us, was it?

Lorana/Yellir: Response

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
