Jira idly brushed a tiny rock out of the way and sat down in one of the stools along the perimeter of sickbay. It had been a long duty shift today, and they were feeling like Dr. Morgan had found an excuse to assign every single minor, whiny case to them. Jira wasn't known for being a complainer, but it was just one of those days.

While a sample spun in the centrifuge, they tapped at a PADD in the hopes of making plans for a quiet evening alone in their quarters. Maybe some quiet music and an ale.

Jira had gotten used to having their quarters to themself since Dr. Bancroft had been promoted, but they knew it couldn't last forever.

oO So much for that quiet evening alone. Oo

Jira busied themself sorting and storing the samples for their next shift, and before long, it was time to go.

Oo Guess I'll go make my presence known. Oo

Jira dragged themself into their quarters to find Breys already there, making herself at home.

oO I should probably put the friendly face on. Oo

It was probably not strictly necessary to be "on" for the other ensign. They'd recently shared a harrowing time on a hell planet and that came with a level of familiarly that common traumatic experiences usually brought about. But still, politeness was politeness.

Jaran: I see you've found your way to your new home, roomie.

Jaran: It's a far cry from that cave on Callis, at least. And I promise that the locals don't hunt us for sport. ::wink::

Jira flopped down into one of the comfortable chairs. That was a mistake. They weren't going to want to get up now, and they still had a lot to do. And still in their uniform!

Jaran: Before I get too tired to remember, I should give you a heads up. I will frequently be found engaging in some Bajoran spiritual practice in my bedroom. It is never off limits, should you want to join me, but I never expect it. If you don't intend to join, I ask that you be respectful of that time as it is very important to me. I do typically burn incense and candles. If you have any concerns with that, I'm sure we can get an environmental regulator to make it more comfortable for you. Other than that, I'm pretty easy-going. Especially when both of my legs work.
