(( Private Docking Platform - Jubel Fahr Resort, Noizán District, Tarahong ))

While Tarahong on its own was a beautiful place - neon sunset set atop a silvery ocean and a seemingly unending floating city above it - they hadn’t come there just for enjoying the scenery. Boka’s insinuations seemed to suggest that Ava was there to heal some sort of heartbreak, and while Tamio didn’t know what that was about necessarily - they were fun friends, not gossip friends (yet) - they thought themself quite adept at being distracting. Though, likely not as good as Boka, who continued to impress with every second.

Boka: Knowing Ava’s appetite for dance, look no further than the soft neon glow of Club Aong-Za; The bass is low, the prices are high, and the atmosphere is electric! They pump pure oxygen and mild pheromones directly into the ventilation system to ensure everyone’s charged for a good time, and if you need a bit of liquid courage, they have a submerged bar area to enjoy a good cocktail while cooling off your feet in the refreshing currents. :: looks to the other projection:: If you’re more in a mood to not hear the sound of the latinum in your pocket - if so, I know a fantastic psychiatrist with only slightly extortionate prices - I also recommend the Polarian, a penthouse crystalscape nightclub, where the only thing that outshines you are the dozens of reflecting crystals holding up the roof. The music is so wanton that they have to replace their entire room full of windows and pay exorbitant public disturbance fees every night, but that’s how you know the party was a good one, mh?

Munro: Let’s start off with the Polarian. We don’t want to peak too early and the Aong-Za sounds like it’s a further into the night kind of place. All good nights start on the roof and end in the basement?

Tamio wasn’t familiar with that idiom, but there was something uniquely concerning about it. Their outfit was far too immaculate to waste on a dimly-lit basement grunge dive. But then, they trusted Boka’s taste and they doubted he’d send them anywhere inherently boring.

As such, Tamio nodded their agreement.

Boka: Perfect the Polarian it is! I’ll take you to your suites, and then I’ll have a shuttle sent over to take you to Polarian.

Munro: Aren’t you coming with us?

Boka: Patience, my beautiful human. Patience :: to Tamio :: It’s always me, me, me with this one. I have a few things to take care of but don’t worry I have an extra special outfit planned for later :: snickers mischievously :: It will be a lot of fun!

The promise of an ‘extra special outfit’ gave Tamio a spark of competitiveness. It seemed they had to up the ante. Now that they knew the place they were going, they could customize their outfit a bit more to fit the aesthetics, and they were certain they knew just the thing.

Munro: :: to Tamio :: The last time he said that we ended up in a brig.

K'Wara:  ::smirks:: Be careful what you promise.’

That being said, they felt fairly certain Captain MacKenzie would be very unimpressed if she had to break out her XO, so maybe not... Her expression would no doubt be worth it though.

(( Bah’iqet Private Suites - Jubel Fahr Resort, Noizán District, Tarahong ))

((( Short time later )))

The private suites that Boka had reserved for them were extravagant and no doubt very pricey. Crystal chandeliers, awesome art pieces and only the finest of furniture for their comfort. It titillated the senses and inspired one’s imagination, and Tamio took full advantage of it as they redid their outfit and make-up after doing an online inspection of Polarian’s vibe. It was all clear prisms to reflect and enhance lighting, so obviously, something that would look good in any kind of lighting would be the way to go about it.

They exchanged their technicolor romper for a sapphire tank top with a high neck and a pair of burned orange hotpants and replaced the synthchain bolero with a poncho made of hundreds and hundreds of strands of reflective crystalline discs. A pair of knee-high boots and a silver chainlink belt finished the outfit, and they soon came back into the main room with their make-up touched up.

Ava was standing by the mirror looking improperly morose for someone who opted for a multi-day outing to the party planet, or maybe that was precisely why she was looking like that.

People like Ava - a respected First Officer of the Flagship of the Borderlands - didn’t go for multiday party-trips for the heck of it. There was something for her to run from.

oO Heartbreak Oo

Munro: I can see why people get lost here. I read that some people spend years here on one long holiday.

That didn’t sound too bad, all things considered. Tamio skipped to her with an excited smile.

K’Wara: Non-stop partying? I could get behind that.

Munro: Unfortunately we don’t have years, our shuttle awaits.

With a theatrical raise of her hand, the massive window opened and a small shuttle flew into frame. The two of them quickly boarded the shuttle and Tamio grabbed one of the drinks that waited for them. Ava had gotten a sneak start on the shuttle taking them to the planet while Tamio had salvaged their hair situation, and now, it was Tamio’s turn.

Munro: Boka does know how to make this girl happy.

K’Wara: Seems so. Very generous of him - so either you’ve got some insane blackmail in your back pocket, or there’s an angle here. ::smirks:: Can’t wait to find out which.

As Tamio raised a glass in salute to Ava and her expert handle on her Ferengi friend, the shuttle started running on auto pilot, taking them towards Polarian. The walls of the shuttle transformed and shimmered away, manifesting the illusion that they were floating through thin air towards their destination. Tamio crossed their legs with a smile, watching as Polarian - impossible to miss - came closer.

The entire upper half of the skyscraper was being supported by spiralling crystals that refracted innumerable rays of light all around it, resulting in Polarian itself looking like a massive spirelocked star. Above the refracting crystal formation, the translucent rooftop was filled with people dancing or mingling, the lighting simultaneously emphasizing the partygoers while also shading them in intense shadows. It was certainly an unexpected play on the senses, even as the thundering bass intensified as the shuttle started heading for one of the numerous landing platforms.

Tamio’s smile now filled their entire face.

K’Wara: This planet is fantastic.

Munro: Response

K’Wara: Unfortunately not. It’s damned lucky I didn’t learn about it a decade ago - this seems like the kind of place where a ship'll lose all the fun Ensigns.

Munro: Response

Tamio chuckled as the shuttle came to a halt, hovering easily above the landing platform.

K’Wara: Well, that’s just rude. I’m still fun. ::hops out of the shuttle and gestures with their head:: Now, come on. There’s a massive crystal dance floor begging to be stepped on.

Munro: Response
