Before she could even finish her sentence, Jovenan felt Sil loosen his grip of her and raise his hand above her, sending her to a spin. Her long, embroidered dress fluttered as she swirled around herself. Feeling the enjoyment of the motion, Jovenan closed her eyes and laughed in excitement. The spin came to an end, and she stumbled a little, but Sil was there to catch her. Taking support against his body, Jovenan laughed as Sil smiled and looked straight into her eyes.

Jovenan: ::laughs:: I love this!

Silveira: So do I.

Back on her feet, they continued the dance even closer to one another. She enjoyed being so near him, their hands together and his other hand on her back. The dance and the luxury were amazing, but they had become secondary to the joy of being with him.

Eventually, the music ended, and they stopped. Sil took a step back and bowed to her, to which she replied with a curtsy. They didn’t have to be off of each other’s skin for too long, as Sil stepped back by her and took her to his arms.

Silveira: Let’s skip the next dance and go outside

Jovenan: Sounds good.

Holding hands, the two walked away from the dance floor and to a balcony opening to a large garden. The sounds of chatter and musicians preparing for the second dance became muffled as they stepped through an open glass door.

Jovenan barely remembered and didn’t care they were still in a holodeck, “going outside” felt so natural she didn’t register how absurd it was that the ship’s computer could recreate seemingly the entire city so seamlessly. She didn’t question the light breeze on her skin as she tilted her head to marvel the entirety of the starry sky all above them and the single, bright moon on it. She felt Sil place his hands on her shoulders and held her close.

Silveira: I love the night sky. Ever since I was a kid. My parents are traders but I was raised by my grandparents splitting my time between Earth and Risa. But I always have a preference for Earth. ::he looked down smiling at her. Again losing himself in Jo’s eyes.:: The Moon can brighten any darkness just like you did to me.

Jovenan: I’ve never seen the stars from another world. I never imagined it would be so beautiful. ::leans on him:: Thank you for showing me this, Sil. Thank you for everything.

Sil moved his hands from her shoulders and took her to his arms. She felt so warm and safe this way, his strong arms wrapped around her, gently holding her and calming her beating heart. The myriad of stars framing their entwined silhouettes, she could see the depth of his eyes, hear his breath, smell his cologne and feel the warmth of his skin. She was intoxicated by him, he was the only thing in her thoughts, and time and universes had lost their meaning.

She felt his hand gently lifting her chin. She closed her eyes, and their lips met for a kiss.

She didn’t know how long they were like that. It felt like a second, and an eternity. When their lips finally parted, she opened her eyes and saw his lustrous, blue eyes sparkling together with the field of stars. The eyes of a man… a man whom she… loved.

Silveira: I wish I could hold you forever.

Jovenan: I wish I could stay here with you.
