Cmdr. Genkos Adea - Down We Go

((The Old Inn, Canterbury, UK, Earth))

Genkos stood up, slamming his glass down back on the table with a dull thud which caused all the patrons  in the bar to look at them both.  Vitor laughed as he slowly stood up.

Adea: To the next bar! ::Seeing they were being stared at, and in a hushed tone:: Oh, sorry!

Vitor shook his head and motioned his hand to the crowd, signalling the drinking gesture to the patrons.

Silveira: ::loudly, performative:: C’mon Doctor. Time to go, you might have had enough.

Adea: ::mock aghast:: I’ve had enough?!

Vitor waved to the bartender, before lowering his voice, winking at Genkos, before whispering.

Silveira: Sorry but I couldn't resist looking the sensible one of us two.

Adea: Gotta take these chances when they arise.

Vitor giggled and planted his hand on Genkos’ shoulder. However, he lost his balance and in trying to right himself by leaning on Genkos, took them both down together.

Silveira: That table tripped me…

The added weight and Genkos’ pretty much non-existent balance issues meant that they both toppled over together, falling to the floor in a tangle of arms and legs and giggling. Genkos made eye contact with the barman over what he desperately hoped was the leg of Vitor Silveira.

Adea: My good bartender, I musht apologise.

The barman flung his rag over one shoulder and stared down at them both.

Barman: That’s it, ::he jerked a thumb towards the door:: get out.

The barman didn’t quite pick them up and throw them out of his bar, but it was a closely run thing. Soon the pair found themselves huddling in the dark, the rain and the cold.

Adea: Thish… thish was a mishtake.
