(( Private Docking Platform - Jubel Fahr Resort, Noizán District, Tarahong ))
It had been a pleasant trip. Of course Tamio had occupied themselves with doing their hair and makeup touch-ups for much of the journey, which Ava found fascinating. Tamio was nothing short of a work of art as they landed smoothly on the resort planet. Ava on the other hand, had busied herself with champagne. Not a drink that she’d usually indulge in but this was a celebration after all.
A celebration of her freedom. Not that she would tell Tamio or anyone else. Personal relationships of the romantic variety were not something she was adept at and she really didn't need her new friends and colleagues to survey the wreckage of her failed marriage. Her second failed marriage.
Tamio was the first out once the shuttle docking was complete on one of numerous ‘private’ docking platforms attached to the resort. The skyline was dominated by skyscrapers that were illuminated beautifully, beneath them was a silvery ocean. All around them was billboards but unlike on Ferenginar or somewhere like Freecloud they were designed to soothe, emphasise and synchronise together. Everything about this world was designed for pleasure and entertainment.
She had a feeling that Tamio would like it here.
K’Wara: I’m gonna make a painting of this someday.
Munro: Really? That’s high praise. If the artist in you would rather paint then that is up to you. As long as you understand that I am dressed for dancing and that is what I intend to do.
Tamio scoffed.
K’Wara: Please, partying always comes first. Some of my best work is done when wantonly inebriated, I’ll have you know.
Munro: Then I need to get you very drunk before I let you sculpt me.
Tamio appeared to look beyond her.
K’Wara: Ah, don’t look now, Ava, but I do believe your friend is incoming.
Ava turned to see Boka, dressed in typical abundant style and his trademark piercings clearly visible, with delicate chains connected across each ear.
Munro: Boka!
Boka extended his arms and Ava gladly accepted his embrace. His arms wrapped tightly around her waist and he lifted her off her feet, clumsily.
Boka: :: huffs :: Wow …
Munro: We’re not teenagers anymore. Put me down before you drop me.
As he placed her back down, he took a step back and surveyed her. It was less like a friend and more like a mother would her misbegotten child. Ava crossed her arms, knowing full well what he was going to say AND in the knowledge that Tamio would no doubt agree wholeheartedly with him.
Boka: :: inspection complete :: This is how you decide to come to the most illustrious planet in the sector? :: rolls his eyes :: Not even a splash of colour? No skin? You look like you’ve come to work the doors, Ava! :: turns to K’Wara :: Now you look like a statue I need to own :: turns to Ava :: I’m glad you’ve continued the tradition of having interesting friends.
Boka extended his arm to Tamio.
Boka: I’m the first of her harem of colourful hedonists. I’m Boka and you must be Tamio K’Wara?
K’Wara: Response
Boka: Any friend of Ava’s is a friend of mine :: whispers conspiratorially :: Even if I still hate her for getting me kicked out of the Academy. .
Ava shook her head and gave Boka a mirthful glance. He was always exaggerating the events that led up to his eventual removal from the Academy.
Munro: :: to K’Wara :: That’s not true.
Ava smiled as she watched Boka playfully wave her off and focus on Tamio. She had missed her old Academy friend more than she realised. It had been several years since their last in person meeting. Adrian had taken an instant dislike to Boka when he visited, which had made it awkward and uncomfortable the entire time.
K’Wara: Response
Boka: Truth is interpretation. Anyway, Starfleet and I mutually agreed in my third year at the Academy that we were completely and irreparably incompatible :: glances at Ava then leans towards K’Wara mischieviously :: I’ll spare you the details. For now.
Munro: Boka, stop playing around and tell us what we have in store?
Boka shrugged and giggled.
Boka: That’s very much up to you, but I did take the liberty of gathering up a few choices :: looks to Ava :: I know dancing will be the first stop for you :: to K’Wara :: She always wants to dance when she’s heartbroken.
K’Wara: Response
((OOC - Boka is a general NPC and free to be written by anyone))
