((CMO’s Office, Sickbay, Deck 7, USS Artemis-A))

Genkos was seated at his desk, sorting through a pile of PADDwork. It was amazing how, even though they had technically not been away for any time at all, the work still managed to pile up. Perhaps it was the plethora of injuries, physical and mental, that CloQ had imposed on their crew. Still, at least it was better than last time - he’d spent an age on hold with the bureaucrats at Starfleet Medical trying to get an additional text box on Silveira’s records for “physical age”. They simply couldn’t comprehend how that would be different from his “actual age”. His work was interrupted when he heard the synthetic tones of Ensign Gnai outside his office.

Gnai: Hello, is Commander Adea available? As a new officer, a medical check-in is required...

Kafkazet: I believe he is in his office, Ensign.

Gnai: Thank you, si- ::it cut itself off:: Crewman.

Kafkazet: Indeed, Ensign.

Gnai made its way across the sickbay to the office, knocking at the doorway. Genkos watched as it appeared around the open entryway.

Gnai: Commander Adea, sir? ::pause:: Is this a good time to interrupt?

Genkos stood up, leaning heavily on the desk as he did so - he’d been seated for a while so his left calf had gone to sleep.

Adea: For you, Ensign, always. Come in, take a seat.

Gnai: Response

As Gnai entered his office, Genkos felt his mug of uttaberry green tea on his desk. It was, unsurprisingly stone cold, so he limped over to his replicator and placed the mug inside it, replacing the chilly beverage with a steaming hot one.

Adea: Can I get you anything, Ensign?

Gnai: Response

The doctor brought back his mug, and placed Gnai’s request in front of it. Sitting down in his comfortable office chair, he leaned bac, steepled his fingers and stared over them at the Galadoran.

Adea: So, what can I do for you, Gnai?

Gnai: Response

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
