Genkos wanted to temper Solas’ enthusiasm after the good doctor had told him that he was indeed able to pick up a duty shift. The man had just been assimilated, after all.

Adea: But I want to see that you’ve made an appointment to see Jashkaa by the end of today. I notice she’s quite busy, but she should have some free time at the end of the week.

His smile now very broad, Solas rose from his seat and beamed down at Genkos, who moved back to the back of his desk.

Kel: Yes, yes sir I’ll get right on it. I’ll make the appointment after I register for a shift, that way I’ll know when I have time.

Genkos raised an eyebrow - that wasn’t the order he had intended. But instead of fighting it, he simply nodded and pursed his lips.

Adea: Indeed.

Solas turned and made his way to the sickbay door, but stopped halfway through and turned back to look at Genkos. 

Kel: And sir? Thank you.

Genkos smiled and inclined his head towards the officer.

Adea: You’re most welcome.

With that, Solas turned and left sickbay, a certain spring in his step. Genkos let out a soft laugh and looked down at his desk - he saw the PADD from earlier still lying discarded haphazardly. He picked it up and let out an inward groan when he saw it was a list of duty rosters.

Adea: What is it humans say? No rest for the wicked…
