((OOC:Second Part Two - Peter Jackson directing.))

(( Command Centre - Grunden Base Camp, Kydon ))

The Andorian’s deep blue eyes scanned across the sprawling interior of the Command Centre.  Holographic maps and upright projections floating in midair shimmered brightly in the dull ambient light.  Each unit had mobility built in; the smaller units with handle and harness, larger units on wheel and railing; the largest of all on caterpillar track or anti-grav-pallette; thick, coils of power cable snaked their way between units; alongside smaller networking cables, clustered together in makeshift conduits.

Tho’Bi moved to the outside of the group so he could cast an eye across the open shell and scattered parts of a partially assembled drone; its sleek and featureless outer shell housed an impressive chrome endoskeleton, and a compelling elegant set of systems.  It appeared to be Kobyar, but the Andorian thought better of lingering; best not to risk angering their hosts.

The Grunden War Chief stood in the centre of a tight circle of officers, barking* orders.  The circle parted, and his heavy set frame turned toward them, revealing his dogged** expression.

((OOC: *Sorry.  **Sorry, again))

Kexxin: Response

Vailani: Thank you General for hosting us.

Sadar: ::twists anxiety band twice:: I-It’s nice to meet you, General. I-I’m Doctor Sadar. ::wrings her hands slightly::

Tho’Bi:  ::bowed slightly:: Ensign Tho’bi.  I am of the Birev clan.  My blood is of the Ice Moon of Andoria.  My forebears were Engineers, as am I.

Once again the disconnect of rituals belonging to him by blood, but not by habit nor familiarity, dictated the young space-born Andorian’s actions and words.

Sadar: Is that why your medical tent was in such an uproar?

The Andorian shuddered a little.  It was the medical tent he had sensed earlier.

The Andorian took a step forward with the intention of offering any Engineering help they might need, but halted immediately.  It was not his place to presume to do so; he had to knuckle down, shore leave was over.

Sadar: W-We sympathize, General, b-but you understand we’ve received our own instructions? W-We were supposed to meet back in your capital city. The situation is hardly ideal.

The Andorian stepped back into line.  His hands tucked behind his back.  The young Ensign awaited his orders and hoped; hoped he could find his way to the version of himself that felt like it belonged in that Starfleet Uniform.

((OOC:  Didn’t push this any further along as I don’t see how an Ensign could, frankly.  Also this sim is long enough to warrant raising David Lean from the grave so he can take over directing duties.))
