Genkos’ arm was around Kalianna, his other arm was holding a glass of sapphire wine, and opposite him was his Captain. This wasn’t quite his happy place, but this wasn’t far off.
Adea: What about with you, Kalianna, what’s new with you?
Nicholotti: New? Nothing much really It's the same universe trying the same things to kick my tail. Only this time it's aboard the Eagle instead of the Excal.
Genkos smiled and took a sip of sapphire wine as Addison nodded slowly.
MacKenzie: You know, you’d think the universe would be about tired of trying to kill you by now.
Adea: She doesn’t stay dead, after all. ::grinning at Kalianna:: So, anything fun happened with the Eagle?
Nicholotti: I managed to get the Eagle stuck on land.
Nicholotti shot them a mischievous grin. Addison’s eyes narrowed slightly and Genkos raised his eyebrow at both of them.
MacKenzie: I think I was on the Eagle once… It was when Oddas Aria had been promoted to Captain. (beat) I think I had just been posted to the Veritas at that point…
She shot a look between them as though to suggest it was impossible that so much time had passed since then. Genkos shook his head.
Adea: That can’t possibly be true - we’re not old enough… right? ::he gave Kalianna’s head a small kiss:: Anything else?
Nicholotti: We found a zoo planet. Literally humans from every time period imaginable, all in their own 'exhibits'. Whoever set it up left a long time ago, and the barriers began to fail. That's when the SOS got out.
Genkos raised an eyebrow - that sounded fascinating…
MacKenzie: That sounds awful.
And terrible, obviously. He lowered his eyebrow and wiped any trace of interest off his face.
Adea: Yes, totally.
Nicholotti: Responses?
Addison sat back in her chair, allowing her back to sink into the plush cushion. Genkos crossed his legs at the ankle as he also reclined as much as he could.
MacKenzie: Are you at least enjoying the new boat for now? I’m sure the thing has to be easier to parallel park than the Excal…
Adea: Does it have that new ship smell?
MacKenzie/Nicholotti: Responses?
Adea: It’s weird to think - before I met the pair of you on the Res, I had only served on the Gorkon… Whereas you both had very varied careers. ::taking a sip:: Not that the Gorkon wasn’t varied…
