Slowly Sam’s eyes fluttered open as she wondered how long she had been asleep for. She rolled over and realized she was alone, only being able to vaguely recall Talos telling her he had some things to take care of and would be back later.
Now that some time had passed, she was feeling mostly better after discovering her mystery illness turned out to be pregnancy. With the help of the vitamins and anti-nausea meds, Sam was as close to normal as she was going to get for a while. So when she felt a strange pain in her stomach there was an immediate worry that something was wrong.
((Sickbay, Deck 7, USS Artemis))
An overly anxious Sam walked into the sickbay with the hopes she would find Dr. Rani there. There was no sight of the dark haired doctor, but she caught a glance of a familiar face. Gila Sadar. Another person Sam had been meaning to find from Frontier Day, not necessarily by these means but it felt like a two for one kind of situation.
Sam approached slowly and spoke softly as she remembered the Mizarian woman was particularly anxious.
S. Richards: Uh.. Doctor Sadar?
Sadar: Response
Glancing around the room Sam lowered her voice even more.
S. Richards: I’m sorry, I don’t know if you remember me… From Frontier Day? ::Putting her hand on her stomach:: I need to see a doctor.
Sadar: Response
S. Richards: I’m having some pain and I’m worried about the uh… The two- my uh, the :: taking a breath and shaking her head:: I’m pregnant. Can you just check on them for me?
She gave the doctor a pleading look.
Sadar: Response
S. Richards: Thank you… Uh, one more thing. ::gesturing to the Lieutenants combadge:: Can you get Commander Dakora here before we start? I don’t want to be here alone and uh… He’s the dad…
