Cmdr. Genkos Adea - Grist for the Rumour Mill

Toto finished his bark in the bright sunlight of a Risian beach, having started it in the Transporter Room, and Genkos immediately donned a sunhat and dark spectacles to fend it off. Toto gave a light yap, and Genkos languidly gestured to the dog to enjoy himself, and off he ran. Heading over to a row of reclining chairs, Genkos removed his glasses when he saw someone familiar already occupying one.

Adea: Vitor!

Vitor raised his head and turned to the side as he saw Genkos coming closer to him. The good doctor offered him a cheery wave, and the dog offered him a friendly yap, before running off to gallivant in the sand.

Silveira: Genkos, good to see you. But how did you end up here?

Adea: Well, I asked the Chief to surprise me - clearly they didn’t change the settings from the last beam down. How’ve you been?

Vitor now fully turned towards Genkos.

Silveira: Good, good. How about you? ::Vitor smiled as he noticed Toto running around:: I see you brought company.

Adea: Toto? Of course - poor boy has been locked up for a little while. ::slightly frowning:: Have you two met?

Vitor smiled as he returned his attention to Genkos, just in time to avoid seeing Toto leap head first into a sand dune.

Silveira: I have seen Toto, but we were never properly introduced. ::he looked away at the sea for a second:: Well, it's a lot more pleasant than our last visit. ::he then turned back to face Genkos:: Kali is still with us or has she returned? I was hoping to catch up with her.

Genkos grinned and swung himself onto another seat nearby, reclining back as he did so.

Adea: She’s around - she’s got an afternoon of PADDwork, so we’re footloose and fancy free. You should ping her, I’m sure she’d like to see you. ::he eyed his friend for a moment, unsure whether to mention the gossip that was spreading around the Artemis like wildfire:: How are things with you?

Vitor nodded and smiled, although there was a moment of hesitation.

Silveira: Oh everything is… Good. Actually it's more than good, it's awesome. I think you can tell I am pretty happy.

Adea: ::pursing his lips in a sign of amusement:: I can ::he tapped his temple:: and I haven’t even read your mind. Want to tell me why?

Silveira: Response

Genkos smirked and tried not to punch the air, and instead satisfied himself with a definitive finger point.

Adea: Aha! I knew it - the rumours are true!
