((CMO's Office, Sickbay, Deck 7, USS Artemis-A))
Talking telepathically was a relief to Gnai, after so long dealing with having to speak aloud, through its suit's speakers. Sure, it could communicate, but it couldn't ensure that it was understood. So much of what it wanted to convey was warped through the incomplete vocabulary of Federation Standard. But telepathically, it could get across what it meant exactly as it meant it.
Thus far, the conversation had primarily touched upon the previous mission, and what had happened to Gnai as it had been whisked away by CloQ. Like any good doctor, Cmdr. Adea kept pressing on Gnai to elaborate.
Gnai: ~ I ::plural, a whole entity:: need space to rest properly, more than just this tank. Sleeping in it while in prison was not ideal. But since then, the quarters that have been provided for me ::singular, partial:: have been more than adequate. ~
Cmdr. Adea nodded once.
Adea: ~ Good, I am pleased to know that. If there's anything else that can be done to make your quarters exceeding comfortable, do let me, or the Operations team, know. ~
Gnai: ~ Certainly, sir. I ::partial:: have no complaints. ~
Gnai watched as Cmdr. Adea made his way over to it, caneless. Why he chose not to use the device in this instant, Gnai had no idea. It seemed to be to his detriment, at least as far as Gnai could tell. But it knew that wasn't something it should nor wanted to pry into.
The tricorder passed over Gnai's tank, a TR-580, if it remembered correctly. That had been the one of the few parts that it had remembered from the field medicine class it had been forced to take at the Academy. All these various details about humanoids and their medicines had been far less interesting to it than the specifications of the tricorders. The sensors on the things were incredible.
Adea: ~ Apart from the affected sleeping pattern, was there anything else that has affected you physically? We can discuss psychology in a moment. ~
Gnai: ~ Physically? No, nothing physical. My ::partial:: suit sustained no damage throughout it all. ~
Cmdr. Adea continued to scan, and Gnai watched the waving of the device over it. Was there any logic to the patterns? Perhaps they had covered that in class... or perhaps not.
Adea: ~ Response ~
Gnai: ~ I ::partial:: should be fine. I ::partial:: don't feel injured or sick. ~
Just a mild bit stressed, but it was used to that. A little bit of stress was its baseline, or at least it had been since it had entered the Academy. It was hard to get through the Academy and not be a bit stressed, it thought.
Adea: ~ Response ~
Gnai was glad to hear that the commander agreed with its assessment, for the most part. Whatever the doctor ordered, it would comply. Even if it seemed somewhat frivolous. That didn't preclude a bit of questioning, though. Just to make sure.
Gnai: ~ Are you certain? As I ::partial:: said... I ::partial:: feel fine. ~
Adea: ~ Response ~
