(( Hydroponics Bay - Deck 9, USS Artemis-A ))
After dedicating an entire day to this passion project, the entire thing had come to a screeching halt. K’Wara strolled in demanding Breys “relax” like what she was doing was defined as anything but the best day of the year. The battle lasted some time, but after finally cracking, she was ready to sign up for something to appease the Operations Chief.
Breys decided it might as well be worth it to try to tag along.
Breys: So, where are you going dressed up like that?
K’Wara: Who, me? There’s a nomadic gallery opening in City One that I’m going to attend. ::leans against the doorframe:: They’re being remarkably tightlipped about the installations themselves, but the theme is ‘Vastness of Mind’. Sounded interesting.
K’Wara almost sparkled as they spoke. Or maybe they actually did. She wasn’t sure if it was the topic itself, or how they talked about it, but Breys was genuinely interested in the exhibit.
Breys: Oh. I’ve never been to an art gallery. Do you go to a lot of them?
K’Wara: It’s a family tradition. ::grins:: My mom’s a professional artist. Sauana K’Wara. I’ve likely attended hundreds of gallery openings throughout my life thanks to her, and as such, I tend to get inside-knowledge when something exciting’s about to happen.
Breys: I feel like you’ve got to be really in the know to get early warnings about art galleries in the borderlands. Your mom must be a big deal, I’ll have to look her up. The show sounds really interesting!
K’Wara: You’re welcome to join me. I’d appreciate the company. Though, ::looks pointedly at their own outfit:: you’re not quite dressed for it yet.
Breys finally began walking towards the exit to hydroponics. As she moved, she turned to look K’Wara up and down.
Breys: I think I have an idea. Let’s make a quick stop at my quarters.
K’Wara: Response

There was a bit of a rush, the timing of things didn’t exactly account for her whole routine after spending 18 hours in the hydroponics bay, but Breys made do as best she could. She scurried through her steps while talking to K’Wara through the door.
As she got ready, a pointless question itched at her brain.
Breys: What separates a traveling gallery from a nomadic gallery?
K’Wara: Response
About half the time she spent getting ready was dedicated to fussing with her curls, almost the rest went to her eyeliner. After using up nearly every moment of spare time they had to still be early, Breys stepped out of her bathroom in what she hoped was an outfit K’Wara would be impressed by. She was in a pale green skirt that went down just past her knees with a white tank top and a black jacket that cut off at her midriff. Unlike K’Wara’s extravagant makeup, Breys rushed some simple eyeliner, blush, and had replicated a little daisy stamp for the corner of one of her eyes. She awkwardly stuck her hands out in a pose.
oO Tada Oo
K’Wara: Response
Breys’s face got flush.
Breys: It’s not great like your outfit, but I tried to match the “feel”.
K’Wara: Response
Breys: Well. Unless I'm breaking any cultural guidelines with my outfit. Do we need to head down to the planet then?
She hoped that was a joke.
K’Wara: Response
