Jozial felt weird.

Less than a year ago, she had been subjected to an anaesthetic gas spread over the Artemis by some dirty pirates who fought unfairly. Back then, she had felt tired and utterly confused, but she still managed to push herself and the entire team through the corridor, rescuing several officers, stopping the pirates from taking over the ship and earning the adoration of one security ensign.

That’s what Jozial felt like now. She was sleepy, disorientated and unable to think clearly, as if she had been inhaling the pirate’s sleepy gas all over again in the null-gravity corridor. Except that she also felt pain in her limbs, torso and head, and instead of a hot Andorian girl, she was looking at the faceless blob of the science jelly.

Renirs: Huh? What happened?

Savel: We are back on the shuttle, Crewman. You are now safe.

Gnai: The others are still in the cave... The pad should be evacuated in case they need to transport in soon.

Huh. That would explain the sudden change in the amount of light around there, though the details of how she got to the shuttle, or the cave were somewhat foggy to her. Wait, that’s not normal, is it? No, how can she be confused about things that supposedly happened just a moment ago? Thinking was hard.

Jozial felt how the two officers in her team helped her move. Meekly, she allowed them, though as they were doing so, she could have a look on her own legs. Her uniform trousers were torn, and the skin under them was fully red or burned. Every time she moved her legs, the pain sharpened suddenly and lingered.

Renirs: Um, hey, jelly. I don’t think I feel so good...

Savel: ::to Gnai:: We should move her to one of the bunks. If you will assess her condition with the tricorder, I will provide what medical assistance I can.

Gnai: ::tendrils calming down:: No, you're right... With your assistance, this should be fine...? But yes, she should be moved, immediately.

The two officers lifted her up. It was certainly preferable to walking or staying there, though the pain was briefly near to overwhelm her mind. She had never before felt such pain before; the accidents she had previously been had been very minor compared to what she had apparently experienced now. The portion of her adopted personality that was still active kept telling her to pretend not to feel anything, to appear though and cool, or they might see through the exaggerated tales of her past.

Eventually, she was placed lying down on a bunk. She tried to move her body to a more comfortable position, but whatever she did, it didn’t help. There was no comfort when your legs are almost burnt off and your brain kept doing somersaults within the skull, or at least that what she felt like.

Savel: ::to Renirs:: Please, do not attempt to move. You may cause yourself further injury. ::turning to Gnai:: I will send a message to the Artemis and request assistance from Bajoran authorities as well.

Gnai: Go, go! Renirs will be fine for now. Go get a message to the ship!

The Vulcan – had she given him a name before? – left to the cockpit, while the jelly remained by her side. It still had its tricorder, though Jozial had left hers somewhere. It was having a look on her legs.

Renirs: Ouch.

Gnai: Sorry, again.

Jozial stopped following the jelly as it run the tricorder scan on her and instead looked up to the ceiling. The lights were bright, and she kept hurting, though lying on the bed or couch reminded her of how tired she was. Beds were for sleeping, right? She could just close her eyes and rest for a moment, she’d be good as new when she woke up…

Gnai: Can you keep talking? You can talk about whatever you want, it will keep you awake. ::pause:: This is not a request.

Renirs: You’re not my real… ::pause, meek and slow:: Okay. Did I mention my parents are, like, super rich? Yeah, they have this McMansion and all, and they made me do all these boring rich princess brat things, like take classes in French and piano and ballet and…

Jozial kept talking, though she wasn’t sure if the jelly was listening to either. Over her own, weak voice she heard the beeps of the tricorder and the voice of the Vulcan talking with someone in the cockpit. Eventually, she heard him walk closer.

Savel: What have you learned about her current condition, Ensign Gnai?

Gnai: ::handing its tricorder to Ens. Savel:: It's all on here. ::pointing out where the tricorder had helpfully spit out basic diagnoses:: Note the second-degree burns and potential concussion? She should not go to sleep until an actual doctor can see to her injuries.

Renirs: I kinda wished you were a doctor. We need more colours than red, gold and blue. And green and black, I guess.

Savel: Response

Jozial heard some noise coming from outside. Was that the Doctor? Or did the people in the cave come here already? She tried turning her head, but her eyes felt like spinning when she did that, so she stopped. Concussion, huh? For a moment she wondered if joined Trills were more or less resistant to those. Like, could the worm do the thinking if the host head got hit, or did they have concussions when punch in the stomach instead?

Gnai: Savel, can you see who that is...? This will stay back with Renirs. And try to keep her stable.

Savel: Response

The Vulcan went somewhere, while the jelly remined by Jozial’s side. She tried to hear what happened outside, but she couldn’t. She felt tired again, but then she remembered that it had told her that she shouldn’t do that. She tried talking again.

Renirs: Do you happen to know much about medicine? Like, do they teach you it in the Academy?

Gnai: Response

Jovenan: =/\= Savel, Gnai! Beam us out the instant you can! Get the shuttle ready, we need to go to the closest hospital! ::pause, then cryingly:: Chevalier’s badly hurt! =/\=

Oh, was it the science lady who beamed outside? No, her voice had a minor metallic sound to it and a bit of static. Must have come from the radio.

Renirs: Did you hear that? ::pause:: But who’s outside, then?

Gnai: Response

Savel/Jovenan/Chevalier: Response

((OOC: I’ve never had a concussion. I’m going off from the Wikipedia article, so if Renirs sounds weird or like she has something else, it’s just that I don’t know how to write that properly.))
