Addison and Dakora sat on opposite sides of the Captain’s Desk. They were reviewing the latest repair reports so they could make a recommendation to Starfleet as to their prospects for getting underway. The pair had managed to go about their work without Addison feeling the need to comment on the obvious upgrades and deficiencies of her new ready room.

She was proud of herself.

As they were wrapping up their work, she decided she might stir the pot a bit, but fortunately for Dakora, he was saved by the chime. Addison sat forward and called for the doors.

MacKenzie: Come in!

The Gideon made his way into her ready room and stood at attention in front of her desk. Her eyes narrowed, and for a brief moment, she wondered if the officer might fall over if the wind blew.

Bergmen: Ensign Olliver Bergmen, Operations, reporting to duty, ma’am. ::turns to Dakora and nods:: Sir.

The junior officer picked up the PADD with his transfer orders, tightly gripped it, and then set it down on the table in front of the captain. She looked at the PADD, then up at Bergmen for a moment before she finally picked up the device.

She pointed to Dakora.

MacKenzie: You start.

She looked over the assignment orders while Talos started the inquisition.

Dakora/Bergmen: Response

Addison set the PADD down with a nasty, metallic clink. The sound instinctively caused her to give Dakora a momentary stink-eye, before she redirected her attention to the new officer in front of her.

MacKenzie: So, Ensign, why are you interested in Ops?

Bergmen/Dakora: Response
