Tamio was many things. A fashion icon, a retired athlete, a hopeless romantic and a not-quite-starving artist. Ah, had one only been born into a time where artists could starve, but alas, Tamio would never be able to earn that storied moniker. At least, unless they started practicing asceticism and they didn’t quite think they could swear off alcohol forever, so that was a venture doomed to certain failure.

But one thing Tamio most certainly wasn’t, was someone who lacked words, as evidenced by poor D’tin’s confused expression as Tamio started going off on an art tangent.

Their favorite topic, next to performative piloting techniques.

Breys: I’m not sure I understand? Isn’t what we see with our eyes the most amount of information we can get?

K’Wara: For instance... Let’s take the color blue? Depending on who you are, if you just see a large canvas colored blue, your opinion and interpretation of the artpiece will be heavily influenced by your attachment to the color. For you blueshirts, ::winks:: it may be a proud color, evocative of professional duty and your chosen vocation. For others, it may be a melancholic color, sad and gloomy. Others again will think of freedom and the open skies. And none of those answers will be right or wrong.

Breys: Oh. Uh.

D’tin’s expression wasn’t confused anymore, just stunned, and it made Tamio grin a bit.

K’Wara: That a bit too long-winded?

Breys: I think I get it? The words make sense, it reminds me of the Federation Literature class I took. It’s just harder to understand with just a color in front of you.

K’Wara: You’re not wrong. But it makes sense the longer you practice it. Sometimes a red door is just a red door, but other times, it’s a symbol of the artist’s passion for the person concealed within that they’re unable to express openly for fear of scandal. ::rolls their eyes:: Though that one, I’ve never quite bought into myself. At least put the paramour in the window if you want that to be believable!

Another tangent, though a very valid one. Then, D’tin did the most marvelous thing, and offered them yet another opportunity to prattle on.

Breys: What about shapes?

Tamio’s sly grin mellowed into a softer, outgoing smile as they nudged her gently, walking around the numerous art exhibits that filled Corfyri Public Park on this fine day.

K’Wara: You know, D’tin? I think you and I are going to get along famously.
