(( Primary Sickbay - Deck 7 - USS Artemis-A ))
The sterile, dimly lit sickbay always created a strange atmosphere. When the door closed behind Lieutenant JG Bergmen, he stood there alone and took a deep breath. He glanced toward the doctor's booth, hoping that during the night shift, fewer of them would be around. His eyes then settled on the face of the doctor he had hoped to see - Doctor Bancroft.
Bergmen: Doctor Bancroft? I’m here for… after-Callis check up.
Bancroft: Response
He watched the doctor as Bancroft approached, but he didn't move from his spot. He waited for the doctor to come closer.
Bergmen: May I ask… a favor, doctor? Can we do it in a little privacy? Preferably inside the radiation treatment ward.
Ollie gazed deeply into Bancroft's eyes and silently nodded to signal that the ask wasn't random. He knew they would need to be there.
Bancroft: Response

As the door closed with a soft thud behind them, Ollie Bergman relaxed his stiff posture. In that moment, it was as if a completely different person stood there. As he moved towards the bed, Bancroft could see the pain Bergman was in as he carefully moved, one step at a time, and how slowly he removed his uniform jacket, using only one hand.
Ollie sat on the bed, and his gaze fell on the yellowish bandage, first hidden by the uniform and now in the open, wrapped around his forearm just below the elbow. He tried to smile, but his face clenched in pain as he removed his underjacket, exposing the chest seal stained with the same yellowish hue on his pectoral muscle. And that seal wasn't the only thing—red and black dots and lesions ornamented his chest and abdomen, slowly spreading to his shoulders.
Bergmen: You will probably need to unseal my medical record, stardate 238802 point 19. To understand.
Bancroft: Response
