They were almost done. Although he had to improvise when Sada mentioned she couldn’t eat strawberries.
Silveira: I know, just to be on the safe side I can use one of the protein bars from the Fleet’s combat rations.
He went to the replicator and replicated the bars, enjoying the looks on Sada and Nan's faces.
Jovenan: Response
Sadar: Computer, dining table with three seats, please, and, uhh, appropriate table dressing for three people?
With a proud grin he put the rations on the counter, picking a clean knife. With a few cuts he turned the bar in what looked like an open flower, setting each one on the corner of each plate.
Taking the Hasperats he set them diagonally and added the finishing touch, dropping a little of olive oil over the Hasperat and the flower carved bars.
Finally he carefully used the olive oil to draw a little heart in each dish.
Silveira: I hope you like them. Now let's set up a table, I can’t wait to try what you both cooked.
Jovenan: Response
Sadar: Oh, uhh, I’ll fetch the puddings once we’ve finished your dishes. ::wrings her hands:: Umm… Can I pour you some glasses of water?
Silveira: If you please.
He looked at the assembled table, and then at Sada and Nan in turn.
Vitor was glad to see Sada smiling more often. It suited her.
And there, three friends shared a meal and the kitchen.
All things considered it was the best ending for the shore leave.
