(( Quarters 1418 - Deck 3 - USS Artemis-A ))

Storm:  Ya know. - Me Tarzan.  You Jane. - Or in this case, Me Alex.  You Tarsan, huh?

Gavrin stared at Alex helplessly, worried that maybe the holo-massage had scrambled her thoughts more than he’d realised. She definitely hadn’t drunk anything from the replicator, right?

Storm:  I guess we’re just going to have to have a movie night...

The engineer did his best to move on as quickly as possible.

Tarsan: I see. How about I try and get this replicator fixed as quickly as possible and then, hopefully you'll be able to eat something that isn't... bright green?

Storm:  Yeah.  Sure… Go ahead…Whatever floats your boat or blows your skirt up.  Not that you’re wearing a skirt.  But you never know.  You might look good in a skant.

He let Alex’s words flow over him, though briefly got distracted as to whether or not he would look good in a skant… Before he could go too far down that line of thought his tricorder beeped to tell him the system was clean.

Tarsan: That should get it!

He turned to look at her triumphantly.

Storm: So you wanna try that order again?

Tarsan:  Yes… second or third time lucky, right?

Gavrin turned back towards the replicator and then paused, looking back to Alex.

Tarsan: Um, what was it again?

Alex gave him the side eye, the Ensign flushing under the scrutiny.

Storm:  Chocolate shake.

Tarsan:  Right, chocolate shake…

He knew that! All the talk of skants and Tarzan had confused him, that was all.

Storm:  And don’t forget the lid and the straw.

Tarsan: I know, I know.

He had, in fact, completely forgotten the lid and the straw.

Turning back to the replicator, Gavrin made the order…

Tarsan: Chocolate shake with lid and straw.

He held his breath as the drink materialised, watching it closely, keeping an eye on his tricorder’s readings at the same time just in case he’d missed something.

Storm: response

Tarsan: I think… I think we’re looking good!

It finally finished replicating and Gavrin cautiously popped the lid off to take a look. Well, it looked like a chocolate shake. Pushing the lid back on he took it over to Alex.

Storm: response

Tarsan: As far as I can tell, all normal!

He held the drink out towards Alex hopefully, careful to hold it well within reach so she didn’t have to stretch.

Storm: Response
