((Unknown Street - Medara - Betazed – ~2375))
The moment Talos’ mind had registered the snap of CloQ’s fingers, the cozy surroundings of the Fifth Chalice swirled out of view, replaced by the oppressive, dusky street he now found himself in.
He staggered, catching his balance against the disorienting effects of being ripped through time and space, and felt his body collide with someone else.
Regaining his bearings, he saw that he wasn’t alone; Chevalier, Z’Vahme, and Savel were with him. But something wasn’t quite right.
Their contemporary Starfleet Uniforms had been replaced by early 2370s equivalents, their colors shining brightly in the smoke and smog-choked surroundings.
((OOC: Let’s go with TNG Style uniforms. That’s fun.))
Dakora: Is everyone ok?
Chevalier/Savel: Response?
Z’Vahme: Response?
Spinning in a slow circle to try and get his bearings, Talos thought he recognized the city skyline beyond– but it was different somehow– buildings that had never been destroyed now lay in ruin. Massive, brutalist structures and factories pouring smoke had sprung up in places they had never been.
This was Medara, but not as he’d ever known it.
Dakora: That was CloQ. A rogue member of the Q continuum we’ve had the displeasure of dealing with before. ::He sighed.:: I had really hoped we’d seen the last of them.
Talos glanced down at his own vintage red uniform and groaned.
Dakora: They are obsessed with time and get a sick sense of satisfaction out of sending us to history’s worst moments. ::His eyes swept the horizon.:: Though this time seems especially personal.
Chevalier/Savel: Response?
Z’Vahme: Response?
He nodded. Motioning for them to follow as he moved out of the middle of the open street and toward the city pavement and nearer to the relative shelter of the buildings.
Dakora: Right. This is Medara. And judging by our uniforms and those Dominion patrol ships off in the distance, this is the Occupation. ::He frowned.:: But this isn’t right. I was here. I lived through this. It never got this bad. ::He pointed to the smoke-spewing factories:: And those were never there.
Before anyone could reply, there was a shout from a gravelly voice somewhere down the street. A cold shiver ran down Talos’ spine as childhood memories rushed back unbidden.
Jem’Hadar Enforcer: Stop right there!
Talos had been unarmed at The Chalice and even if he hadn’t been, he couldn’t imagine CloQ letting them off that easily. That left them with precisely one option.
Dakora: Run!
Chevalier/Savel: Response?
Z’Vahme: Response?
