(( Conference Room - Intel Suite, Deck 08, USS Artemis-A ))
The unexpected meeting between Talos and Gila seemed to be drawing to a close. He knew she wasn’t entirely comfortable with the idea of not-including certain aspects of their most recent mission in her official logs, but they’d come to an understanding on the necessity of it.
Now, the conversation had shifted to an even more unlikely prospect; Getting Gila to leave the ship and take shore leave on Risa.
Dakora: Actually use your shore leave. ::He waved a hand demonstratively:: Go to a beach, one of the nature preserves– feel the sand under your feet, the sun on your skin… touch a tree. It's nice every once in a while, you know?
Sadar: ::vividly displeased expression:: Y-Yes Sir... My most recent counseling session also ended up with an, uhh, ‘strong suggestion’ along those lines.
Since managing the duty schedules had been part of his job, he'd caught on to her pattern of taking on extra shifts for all of her colleagues who were eager to enjoy their leave.
It was really no wonder she was wound so tight.
Dakora: I plan to spend an unreasonable amount of time surfing those artificially perfect waves. If nothing else, you're welcome to join me.
Sadar: I... I might take you up on that. Th-Thank you. ::wrings her hands:: W-Well, uhh. Th-Thanks for, mhm, your counsel. I’ll have my report logged within the week.
He doubted he’d get to see Gila on a surfboard any time soon, but he’d call it a victory if she made an appearance planet-side and had a little fun.
Dakora: Anytime. ::He raised a cautious finger.:: But I mean it! Make time for a little relaxation!
The Mizarian doctor seemed to want to protest, but instead, she relented.
Sadar: N-No, I promise, I will find time to... ‘Relax’...
With a satisfied smile, he nodded his approval.
Dakora: Good. Then that’s all I have for you, Lieutenant. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Sadar: Yes... I’ll... I’ll see you around, Sir.
He stood and waited for Gila to make her way out of the conference room, waiting for the door to slide shut behind her before laughing and shaking his head a little.
Somehow, he’d managed to grow quite fond of the awkward Doctor and wanted the best for her, even if she didn’t always agree with his methods.
