(( Sickbay – Deck 7, USS Artemis-A ))
When a new officer joined the ship, either from the Academy or as a transfer from another ship, there was always a litany of paperwork to be done on both sides. For the new placement, it often meant physical and psychological evaluations, checking in with their department head, and officially reporting for duty with the command staff. For the captain of the Artemis, there was really only one job: figure out how much of a pain the new officer would be, and what kind of rehab they would need.
As she’d received a ping from Genkos that one of their
newest officers was already in his Sickbay, she decided to go stretch her legs.
As she passed through the doors to the Primary Sickbay, she saw an Andorian
male perched on one of the biobeds with Dr. Adea attending to him. Her eyebrow
raised slightly as she could see the physician waving the dermal regenerator
over a wound.
Tho’Bi: Have you read any medical studies on
the subject of anxiety in Andorians and wonky antennae? :: points at his
antennae :: my antennae feel wonky when I’m anxious :: nods as he says this ::
Adea: Response
Addison smirked and interjected.
MacKenzie: Dr. Adea doesn’t often busy himself with the work usually
left to the counselors. ::extending her hand:: I’m Captain MacKenzie, and you
must be Ensign Tho’Bi.
Tho’Bi/Adea: Responses
She smiled and nodded.
MacKenzie: A pleasure to have you aboard, Ensign. ::gesturing to the
wound:: What happened there?
Tho’Bi/Adea: Responses
Her eyes narrowed slightly as she listened to him recount the tale. She had to
admit the new officer was either a fool for telling her, or someone with
integrity. It was too early for her to make that assessment, but she
appreciated his honesty nonetheless.
MacKenzie: I see… Looks like Dr. Adea has done impeccable work repairing
the wound, as usual.
Tho’Bi/Adea: Responses
