He smiled and held her tightly. They started flying at high speed, crossing space, stars passing them as they flew. Vitor tried to get a bearing, recognize something, but they were traveling so fast he couldn’t find any recognizable star, constellation or anything.

They slowed down to finally be in front of a single planet. The starfield around it was completely unknown to him and he started looking at the planet.

Jovenan: Here we are. Are you still okay, love?

He was. It wasn’t that bad of a ride and he could keep holding her like this forever.

Silveira: I am, I am very good. It was awesome.

Nan extended her hand and pointed. Vitor followed her finger with his eyes.

Jovenan: See that area between the sea and the large lake? It’s too small to see, but there’s a village near one of the smaller lakes. That’s where I was born, and where my parents and all the many siblings still live.

Vitor almost asked about what had caused that… Rift… Or something between Nan and her family. But he simply held her more tightly. It was his way to quietly let her know that if she ever wanted to talk about it, he was there

Silveira: Thank you for showing it to me.

Jovenan: Thank you for liking it.

He smiled and kissed her cheek again.

Silveira: And you thought you couldn’t surprise me. I love this. I couldn’t have imagined anything better than having all the space around us.

He was hoping to make her as comfortable as possible.

Jovenan: I’ll have to come up with even more surprises for you, then. And not be so insecure about if you like them.

Silveira: And where do you want to go now? Or have you already traveled all over the galaxy without me?

Jovenan: A little, yes. But I can’t say I’ve really seen it the same way without you.

Vitor smiled. He actually has never been to the Artemis Astrometrics, if memory served him right, the last time he visited such a lab was in the Columbia.
He didn't imagine Astrometrics could be used in that way. And Vitor was extremely glad that Nan shared that.

Holding Nan in his arms, it was the best surprise he got in years.

Silveira: Thank you for showing it to me.

Jovenan: How about we go see something beautiful? Computer, Eagle Nebula, 100 light-year distance to Sol’s direction.

They “flew” in space to the Eagle Nebula. He smiled as they stopped inside the nebula.
It was a beautiful sight, his Astronomy knowledge was limited, but to Vitor this looked like a star nursery. The brightness of the young stars, each one a bright Sun, gave it an extraordinary appearance that he found hard to describe.

Vitor understood why Nan found it so beautiful.

Silveira: That’s… It’s beautiful…

Jovenan: It does look prettier when you can just be there and watch it. ::pause:: Thank you for coming with me. And thank you for having just the right words, even when I feel insecure or like I’m not good enough. I really want to surprise you in the way you do.

He held her just a little more tightly.

Silveira: And you do. I am the one that should thank you for showing me this.

Nan turned slightly, and Vitor eased his grip on her. She kissed his cheek and he looked at her with the widest of smiles. She slowly pulled herself closer kissing his lips.
He was smiling when she parted, Nan retributing the smile and whispering.

Jovenan: I really loved the dolls.

Silveira: I really loved being here with you.

She then turned, and he leaned his head on hers, as they floated in the Eagle Nebula, enjoying the sight in each other's arms.
Vitor didn’t believe in perfection. As he often said “perfection is for the Gods, not mortals”
But he couldn’t deny that it was possible to find the “perfect moment”

And this was another one he and Nan shared. One more of many more to come.
