(( Elysium – Deck 6, USS Artemis ))
The trio of command officers sat in the Elysium recounting adventures old and new. Genkos had his arm around Kalianna, just revelling in the opportunity to spend quality time with her that didn’t involve dodging phaser fire or running from innumerable dangers.
Adea: It’s weird to think - before I met the pair of you on the Res, I had only served on the Gorkon… Whereas you both had very varied careers. ::taking a sip:: Not that the Gorkon wasn’t varied…
Now, Kalianna raised an eyebrow.
Nicholotti: And you think you know all about a person's history...
Addison offered a smirk and side-eye in Genkos’s direction.
MacKenzie: Perhaps too much, in some cases.
Genkos smirked as he sipped his sapphire wine - he knew precisely who Addison was referring to, and he wouldn’t dare utter their name - said three times and he might appear.
Adea: Mention no names, of course.
Kalianna shook her head, possibly missing the interaction between Captain and First Officer. He’d elucidate later, possibly in bed with another bottle of sapphire win.
Nicholotti: I still think some of my favorite stories are from the Resolution. Some are from when I wore that green collar as a second lieutenant, but far more are from our escapades.
MacKenzie: More than our fair share of close encounters… Our first run in with CloQ… The discovery of the USS Unity from our first mission…
Adea: Our second run in with CloQ… Or was that the Excalibur?
Kalianna finished the wine in her glass, placed it on the table, and rested her hand on Genkos’s leg. Genkos, in his turn, drained his own glass, put it down, and rested his hand on hers.
Nicholotti: Remember when they just told us all to be aboard and get on with it, without ever having properly met?
Kalianna grinned; Addison shook her head.
Nicholotti: Now look at us.
MacKenzie: The most patchwork group of derelicts you’ve ever seen, and Starfleet says “good luck.”
Genkos’ hand left Kalianna’s briefly in order to gesture to the glasses, but quickly returned to hers, before giving it a little squeeze.
Adea: But at least you brought a bottle of wine that first day too.
Nicholotti: Response
Now, it was Addison’s turn to finish her wine and set her glass down on the table. Once again, she sat back into the couch, crossing one leg over the other. She offered a nonchalant shrug.
MacKenzie: I think we turned out alright.
Genkos looked between them - they were both now Captains of fairly important vessels with mandates that mattered - he thought they’d turned out alright indeed. As for him, he was a CMO first and a First Officer only by necessity. He would stay in a sickbay as much as possible.
Adea: I agree… ::smirking:: Shame about those underneath us though.
Nicholotti: Response
MacKenzie: You planning on making the Eagle an extended stay?
Genkos shifted in his seat to face Kalianna as much as possible, an expectant look on his face.
Adea: Do please say yes.
MacKenzie/Nicholotti: Response
Adea: Who looks after your sickbay, by the way? Do they need a course in Genkos-i-fying the place?
MacKenzie/Nicholotti: Response
Commander Genkos Adea MD
Chief Medical Officer

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
