((Sickbay - Deck 7 - USS Artemis-A))

Sickbay doors whooshed open, and Jira looked up from their PADD. They had pulled the short straw for this doctor on duty shift, but thankfully it had been slow so far. They hadn't been able to stop going over the scans acquired during the previous mission. Who knows what might be learned and applicable for medical science!

But that would have to wait. The acting captain was standing in front of them. And, in spite of (or maybe because of) the smile she wore, she very clearly looked Not Happy.

Munro: Doctor Jaran, right?

Jaran: Sir, uhh. Yes, sir. That's me.

oO Perfect, Jira. That's exactly what you should have said. Smooth. Oo

Munro: This shouldn't take long, just run that medical tricorder over me and I'll be out of here.

Jaran: Sir? I apologize if I'm missing something, but ::beat:: I'm not really sure why you're here. Are you feeling ill?

Munro: I'm sorry, Sickbay always make me a little … annoyed. Anytime I've had to spend in one is for these exams or when :: beat :: well, not such fun times.

Exams. Exams. EXAMS! She was here for her physical! Jira had seen her name on the list in passing, but they figured she'd show up at some point. In their experience, Starfleet officers were pretty good about annual examinations, and it was pretty uncommon to have to hunt one down.

Jaran: Well, I assure you that this is very routine, Commander, and we should be out of here in just a few minutes. Please, take a seat on this biobed.

Munro: Response

Jaran: Of course, of course.

Jira ran the tricorder's scanner over Munro, as she requested. This really should be quick.

Jaran: Great resting heart rate, Commander! Commendable.

Munro: Response

Jira saw a blip. oO Let's double check that. Oo The blip showed up again. That was odd, and worth asking about. They knew any questions in a medical setting could be seen as the lead-up to a potentially life-altering situation when dealing with someone who was already nervous, so they put on their most bedside face.

Jaran: You do have some elevated levels of hydroxyapatite in your bloodstream. It's unlikely to really cause any issues, but I have to ask. Have you been noticing any discomfort in your joints?

Munro: Response
