(( Main Shuttlebay - Deck 11, USS Artemis-A )) ((( OOC: Apologies for the delay! End of summer is kicking my proverbial hiney. )))

Tamio liked few things as much as routine inspection of shuttles. It felt more like engaging in a hobby than it felt like doing work, and it usually meant that they were first in line to take those shifts. Evidently, they had enjoyed themself a bit too much on this particular day, as their unflattering rendition of Í Fu An’na Naja had attracted the attention of one the other Operations Officers. Tamio hadn’t met this one yet, but he’d been generous enough to share his name regardless.

Bergmen: Since you've completed the stress test anyway... Did the shuttle pass inspection okay?

K’Wara: ::grin:: Yup. She’s marvel. A Ship of Theseus-nightmare, but a marvel.

Tamio didn’t know if the old Earthen parable would be familiar to Olliver - his species wasn’t apparent, and even if it was, he could’ve been like Tamio and have grown up with Human family or friends - but it didn’t matter much in the larger scheme of things

Bergmen: Welcome to Artemis Operations. Hope you will enjoy your stay.

An odd way to welcome a new colleague aboard - like he was a bellhop manning a reception desk or something - but Tamio disregarded that thought as they came up to their full height. Which, to clarify, was still like a head shorter than Olliver. They raised both dark brown eyebrows in blatant acknowledgment of that fact. Whatever species Olliver was, they sure fed their kids some stuff.

K’Wara: Pleasure to meet you, Olliver. ::smiles and offers their hand for a handshake:: Tamio’ll do, unless we’re in front of the Captain. ::moment of thought:: Or the Chief. I’ve heard she can be a stickler for things like that.

Bergmen: Response

K’Wara: No, only word of mouth. Is it wrong?

Bergmen: Response

Tamio accessed the Kerynitis’ computer banks to update the maintenance logs so their visit was logged appropriately, still while listening to Olliver’s words.

K’Wara: ::slight smirk:: Interesting. oO I look forward to meeting her. Oo How long have you been with the Artemis, Olliver?

Bergmen: Response
