Vitor leaned back. He was admittedly a little concerned with Sada right now. Was she worried about the upcoming mini mission that she had set up?
He tried to smooth her spirit.

Silveira: Sada, it's ok, there isn’t exactly a script for a dinner with friends.

Jovenan: If it helps, think of this like the cooking meeting we had a while ago, but without quite as much cooking.

Vitor nodded affirmatively. Maybe a little of his humor could settle things down.

Silveira: If I didn’t know you better I would think you're about to reveal a deep secret…
Something like…

He was about to say “the fact you hide a warhammer under your robes”. But he realized how that might sound, and actually was a bit offensive.
Obviously he picked the next crazy thing on his mind.

Silveira: Something like you started dating Gnai… I mean he does have a Starflirt profile. ::He knew that because it was actually Vitor that set that up as a stupid joke. That also reminded him he needed to take down his own profile.:: I mean once you work with someone and get to know them better… And you share some rough moments… ::He looked at Nan and his smile widened, and he inadvertently began to lean in her direction.:: Then you start to realize, that the friendship and the bond that unites you, becomes love.

Once he finished he realized, perhaps the warhammer thing wasn’t that bad…
Sada actually reacted… Well, she looked stunned with his stupidity. Nan on the other hand leaned a bit forward as well.

Sadar: Lieutenant Gnai? Dating?

Jovenan: ::looking at Silveira across the table:: It can be scary to try and form a romantic relationship with a friend, though. ::smiles:: But it can be rewarding. The best partner is both a lover and a friend, and when you love a friend, you’ve found him.

Vitor’s smile widened. He raised his hand, almost reaching for Nan’s, but was able to stop in time resting it over the table.

Silveira: I couldn’t have said it better myself… ::he kept staring at Nan but managed to smile at Sada:: I am sorry Sada, I was teasing. You know me, I hope you didn’t take it personally.

Sadar: What? ::blinks:: Oh! I-I’m so sorry, I-I didn’t- I mean, that’s something that warrants research, I’m not- Wait, what were we?

It was now Nan’s time to try and ease Sada.

Jovenan: Sorry, Doctor. But you can tell us if there is something you want to tell us or if anything is troubling you. And it’s okay if you wanted to just have dinner with us. I love that!

Vitor smiled when she looked at him. And as expected his girlfriend was much better at calming Sada than he was.

Sadar: W-Well, yes, uhh... N-Nothing new has occurred that warrants a sense of excitement or trouble, s-so... J-Just a dinner party with friends?

Vitor smiled and shrugged.

Silveira: Then you don’t need to be nervous.

Jovenan: Are you sure you don’t want help with the foods? I don’t want to make you to serve us, we don’t have to be so formal about the dinner, do we?

Sadar: N-Nonsense, Lt. Commander! You are my guests, and I believe that this comes with a set list of requirements of me as a host. C-Certainly, having you help with the cooking is not allowed.

Silveira: Fine. But please calm down. The only thing we will be biting is the food.

Jovenan: Response

Sadar: Of course! Uhh...

Sada went to bring them a heavy pot of orange soup to the table.
Vitor smiled at the scent. It was like fish soup. And he was sure it likely tasted as good as it smelled.

Sadar: F-For the appetizer, uhh, I-I’m serving slow-simmered coral-leaf soup. ::counts on her fingers:: The m-main course is Mizragavi - it’s, uhh, cheese and fried vegetables in boiled oyster shells - along with a salad with nuts and honey gel. Dessert is quillfruit pudding with salt and nutmeg.

Silveira: Sounds amazing to me.

Jovenan: Response

Sadar: I-I, uhh, I’m not... I-I’ll be having Bimai. I-It’s, uhh, similar in taste to cow milk, only thinner and more sour? I finally got the replicator to make it to specifications. B-But I’ll replicate whatever you wish to drink, of course!

Vitor tilted his head. Milk with seafood? Maybe not exactly the best combination.
He trusted Sada’s cooking skills. And her medical ones.
Weighing in, he took the chance.

Silveira: I'll try that as well, Sada. After all we are trying your cuisine, it will good to have the full experience.

Jovenan: Response

He smiled as Sada served them. Vitor tipped his head to Nan and again almost reached for her hand. But this was Sada’s dinner, and they shouldn’t steal the attention from her.

Silveira nodded to Sada once she served him with the soup and the drink.

Silveira: Thank you Sada. I have to say you're doing a remarkable job so far.

Sadar/Jovenan: Response

Vitor smiled at them, and he raised his spoon, ready to “strike” at the dinner.

Silveira: I have a feeling this tastes as good as it smells.

Sadar/Jovenan: Response

Vitor filled the spoon with just enough to taste it, but not that it was too much.
It was hot, and he was careful, discreetly blowing on the soup, before trying it.

He was used to a lot of seafood. There were a lot of Risian dishes he loved with fish and sea shells. Portugal was also known for its fish recipes. But he had to admit, Sada’s soup was divine.

Vitor joined his index and thumb, making a little circle with his fingers and reaching it close to his ear lobe.

Silveira: This is amazing Sada… I have eaten fish and seafood all my life but this is one of the best soups I tried. ::He took another spoonful, closing his eyes as he tasted it. He smiled at Nan before speaking again:: Honey you have to try it, it's phenomenal.

Sadar/Jovenan: Response
