((USS Artemis, deck 3, Silveira’s quarters))

Vitor was sitting down in his console, searching, programming and working on his little surprise. Now that they were back home, and not just at the Artemis, back in DS 224, and with the PADDwork done he had two choices.

First was reaching out to Nan, seeing her, checking how she was doing.
Admittedly that was what he wanted to do, as soon as he finished his hours long bath.
It felt like he was in the shower for hours before he could finally feel clean, from all the sweat and jungle smell from Meirash.

But they were on friendly terms now. After all, Genkos did advise him to give it time. And one thought kept crossing his mind. One that he voiced out loud.

Silveira: We are crewmates…

No, better to give it some time, and they would certainly meet during this shore leave.
He feared that the feelings they might share weren’t…

Vitor shook his head.

Silveira: No… Not going there… Now focus back on this…

He checked the time, it would still be a couple of hours until the holodeck was free. Only there he could finish the work.
But so far…

He was pleased. A few were rather easy choices. The arcade games for Zie and Al were no-brainers and didn’t require much research. Vitor was surprised that the one for Al was so immersive. He wanted to test it out for himself once that was ready.
He was fairly certain that Savel and Talos would enjoy the two others he had set. Also there were a few more violent games that he betted some of the others would like.

Somehow Vitor had a very strange feeling that Genkos was going to have fun in one of the more bloody arcades.

Silveira: I might be wrong… I am wrong… Genkos… But dammit, why do I keep imagining Genkos shouting out loud “Finish Him”?

He shrugged. There were a few harder to find. He wasn’t sure what Ol liked, and he hadn’t met the new Engineer Ensign. Nan and Sada were also missing. There was that old board game Operation. That would be just perfect for Sada. But there wasn’t an arcade version of it.

And Nan… Well he was going to add Pac-Man, Puzzle Bubble and Tetris. Maybe one of them would please her.

Now one that required some work, because he hadn’t actually found its arcade version, was the one for Salkath. Vitor had to program the whole thing, but he was pleased when he finished. After the incident in Meirash he was certain Salkath would understand the joke of him adding Duck Hunt to the arcades.

Vitor kept programming it. He deleted the bowling alley, as that would take a lot more room, but added pool tables. That way there could be a choice for everyone.

He smiled. Last time he did something like this was when he planned their meal in Risa, after the Resolution’s destruction.
Now things were better, even with all that they suffered.
And who wouldn’t like an Arcade on the holodeck?

He grinned.

Silveira: I will have something for everyone. And if I don’t, at least I had fun with it…
