to USS Artemis-A – StarBase 118 Star Trek PBEM RPG
((USS Artemis, deck 2,Holodeck 1))

Vitor had spent the last hours in possession of Holodeck 1.

And that was a literal statement, as he had twice passed his designated time, and twice “negotiated” an extension with those that were scheduled to use it after him.

True to himself Vitor just took his words too much to the letter.
He was looking for something for everyone.
But he was having too much fun with it…

Vitor lost all track of time after he arrived with his PADD. The plan was to start setting up the program. Build the place, set up the Arcade with enough room for the games and everyone using them.

Meanwhile he had finally read the message from Tito about Sal's promotion and the change in command of Ops.
He couldn't have been more proud, but it was a little bittersweet. Vitor kept planning, and postponing a visit to the 118, now if wanted to see Sal Taybrim again he would have to properly schedule it.

However his organization skills were running pretty low today. As the Holodeck revealed.

If someone who went inside would likely be surprised and confused.

The walls were still with the gridded frame of any unused holosuite. But it was packed with a wide variety of games, some taking more room than others.

Aside from being packed, the only thing Vitor managed to get perfectly right was the noise.
The holosuite was filled with a chaotic “symphony” of music, battle sounds, pings, pangs, capaws, and some sounds that certainly wouldn't make sense to…
Well, to anyone with common sense.

There were almost thirty arcades, from sports, races, fighting, puzzles, and almost everything in between.

And Vitor had tried almost every one of them.
Right now he was turning and twisting around in the one meant for Al.

It was a flight combat simulator, and he held the joystick tightly, firing the weapons as he pushed up and down the throttle. The sound of the enemy fire made him turn as he avoided another round of incoming missiles, and he fired back, destroying most of the enemy planes.

But another wave came through and after a swarm of missiles that he couldn’t avoid, the seat shook as he was taken out and saw his plane plunder through the ground.

Silveira: Foda-se…

Vitor shook his arms frustrated, even if he scored high enough to again set his initials in the top score list. VSS, Vitor Stone Silveira.
Realizing he had delayed enough his lunch, after his stomach roared again, he slowly stepped out of the arcade.

Silveira: Computer save program and give the time please.

Computer: Acknowledge, the current time is 1403.

Vitor arched his eyebrows high, surprised. He had arrived at around 11, and was supposed to have finished in an hour and half, so he could have lunch at a sensible time.
He was shocked at how long he spent there just playing. He had simply added up arcades and… Basically just tested them out. The one for Zie was awesome and he managed to finish one race in first place. There was the other one, but he wasn’t quite sure who would enjoy it. Then there was the one for Salkath, and one that he hoped would suit Nan. And likely Sada. But there were two more, a classic and a... Another classic he couldn't quite tell the gender. He didn’t quite figure out who could enjoy them, maybe Gnai? He was still struggling with theirs.
Then there were others, one he figured would catch Talos' eye. There was that one he thought of for Genkos. But that was still debatable. As were all the others.

Silveira: I should have just set up a meal. It was easier and I certainly would lose this much time trying them out.

He opened his arms at the chaos the holosuite was in. It looked like he still had a lot to do, and next time he needed to be more disciplined if he wanted to finish it. And look as a proper Arcade should be.

And he would give further tough as to which machines would suit each of his comrades.

But for now… He needed to get some lunch.

OOC: I didn’t left any tags, but if anyone wants to take a peek at the holodeck and see what Sil is working on, please feel free to drop by ;)
