(( Medical Ward - Cardinary District, New Hope ))

Luirétt stood by, watching as one by one, the injured Yurum were transported over to the USS Artemis-A, along with a few of the volunteers who had been performing in the capacity of nurses. It wasn’t ideal. None of this was. If only they had been able to sway more of their fellow Boraxians, more with the experience and abilities needed for a voyage such as this. Luirétt felt their large pale yellow eyes moisten in response to the guilt that weighed their heart.

oO What a waste Oo

Did experience always have to be paid by a price so heavy?

Vahljeahn: Response

Luirétt looked down at Vahljeahn, who was resting on one of the temporary beds. Their injuries weren’t the most grievous, Luirétt thought, but they weren’t a proper medic. They hoped that the Artemis doctors would be able to get their stout companion back on their feet quickly. Luirétt couldn’t keep this going alone.

Luirétt: Thank you, Vahljeahn. ::wrings two of their hands:: Captain Munro of the Artemis has requested for me to join her on the alien vessel. I have agreed to go.

Vahljeahn: Response

Luirétt: We need their help. I do not know how long the repairs will take, and if... We need them on our side, should the worst come to pass.

Vahljeahn: Response

Luirétt: Of course, I have not forgotten. Be true, be honest. Our cause is just, you know this most of all. Trust that the Federation will see that as well.

And then, Vahljeahn was beamed out, to the Artemis. Luirétt would follow them soon.

(( Ready Room - Deck 1, USS Artemis-A ))

The experience of being ‘beamed’ was unlike anything that Luirétt had previously experienced. The blue glimmer distorting the world around them, as gradually, the large open area of one of New Hope’s communal districts was replaced by a Ship of a radically different design philosophy. It was unlike anything that Luirétt had seen before, and they had to restrain themself from actively doing a canvas of the room.

The middle of the small room was dominated by a massive desk - was that real wood!? - with a window looking out into the vast open space beyond. The chair facing the desk was large, and yet narrow at the same time, with no proper arm space, and to be frank, it seemed wildly uncomfortable.

Then, Captain Munro entered the room, flanked by two others, one dressed in a similar reddish color to the Captain, and another dressed in a deep and vibrant gold. Luirétt’s large yellowish eyes took in the three aliens standing before them, the blowholes on either side of their face breathing in and out in rapid succession to commit all the alien smells in the room to memory.

While they resented the fact that New Hope was currently sitting in space with neither them nor Vahljeahn aboard, they relished the fact that they had the opportunity to walk on alien floors.

Munro: Leader Luirétt, thank you for agreeing to meet with me. :: in greeting :: Captain Munro.

Captain Munro reached out one of her two arms in greeting, and without thinking of whether this was what they were intended to do, Luirétt reached out with two of their arms, one to grasp the Captain’s hand and the other to reach and place onto the Captain’s head. It was difficult to ascertain where to make the connecting Touch - the odd fur on top Captain Munro’s scalp didn’t make it easy to determine where her sensory faculties were - but Luirétt did their best approximation of it.

Luirétt: You may know me as Luirétt, Captain Munro. It’s an honor of mine to know and be known.

Luirétt released the Captain, before looking behind her to glance upon the other two officers.

Munro: :: turns to Storm and Meris :: This is LT Storm, our tactical officer and Ensign Meris, our helm officer.

Meris/Storm: Response

((( OOC: If Meris or Storm go for the handshake, expect a similar greeting from Luirétt as the one Munro got. )))

Luirétt responded to the greetings of the other two aliens, before looking to the Captain once more.

Munro: Response

Luirétt: It should be I thanking you for your timely response to our distress call, Captain Munro. Your arrival was very fortuitous.

Munro/Meris/Storm: Response

Luirétt: I am sorry... Between the mechanical difficulties and the injuries, I’ve had much to think about, and not many of them pleasant. ::folds their hands in two sets:: Please, if you have any questions, pose them.

Munro/Meris/Storm: Response
