((Geology lab, Deck 9, USS Artemis))
Jovenan: Don’t breathe in the clouds! We just have to get rid of them!
Jaran: I've breathed in enough of that already on Callis for a lifetime.
Jovenan crouched and searched through storage until she found what she was looking for. She handed Jira a bottle that sloshed with liquid inside.
Jovenan: Spray this to the clouds. It’ll condense them and make them rain down.
Jira directed a spray in the direction of the clouds, and the effect was immediate. It was like melting candy floss. As the spray hit a purple cloud, it immediately turned into a sheet of lavender droplets. They repeated the process until the lab was covered in liquid, but blessedly cloud and lightning free.
Jaran: What we wouldn't have given for a giant bottle of this a couple weeks ago.
Jovenan: Good thing there weren’t any of these clouds on the planet after you picked up the rocks. These lightnings are vicious!
Jira chuckled and splashed their hand on the drenched countertop.
Jaran: It's a good thing Lt. Imril didn't realise I'd held onto the rock as long as I did. They're scarier than the lightning.
Jovenan: Response
Jira looked around at the destruction in the lab and felt a tinge of guilt. Everything was soaked, and the forcefield projector in the sample bay was smoking.
Jaran: So. ::beat:: Can I help clean up or anything?
Jovenan: Response
Jira glanced at the yellow rock still in the bay. Sitting there, innocently, like it hadn't been the cause of everything. They shook their head and walked to the door.
Jaran: Thanks for taking that last bit of Callis off my hands, at the very least. And for the talk. If you ever want to revisit any of it, let me know. You wouldn't be the first non-Bajoran I've counselled on spiritual matters, you know.
Jovenan: Response
