Cmdr. Genkos Adea - Walking In A Leafy Wonderland

((CMO's Office, Sickbay, Deck 7, USS Artemis-A))

Genkos sat back down in his chair, and took a sip of his tea whilst speaking telepathically to his patient. It was a fairly unusual situation, most patients aboard the Artemis preferred their diagnoses verbal, but with a Galadoran, things were different.

Adea: ~ What do Galadorans do for fun, Gnai? I’m afraid we didn’t cover recreation at the Academy ~

Gnai: ~ I ::partial:: like to explore, to wander around and look at new things. ::pause:: And music. Seeing music is fun. ~

Genkos nodded, agreeing with its point. He was not a devotee of the musical recitals often performed by the lower deckers, but that was more because he preferred quality to quantity.

Adea: ~ Good thing we’re spending time at a new place then - Deep Space Nine is filled with all sorts of things that might be new to you.  ~

Gnai: ~ Yes, sir. I ::partial:: was already planning to visit the station, eventually. There are a large number of people to meet and things to do to get settled on a ship... ~

Genkos smiled as he recalled his own “onboarding” process when he was a young fresh faced Ensign. He was straight into the sickbay of the Gorkon to replace an arm. He wondered how that arm, and the Scottish engineer attached to it, were doing.

Adea: ~ And don’t I know it? But we must make time for our own relaxation. ~

Gnai:  ~ Have you ever been to the station, sir? Do you know what places might be of interest? ~

Genkos pursed his lips, amused at the switcheroo Gnai had pulled - Genkos should take his own advice - the last time he had visited DS9 he had not stepped on board the station for a moment. Or if he did, he certainly didn’t remember it. 

Adea: ~ I’ve been past, but never really stopped. I don’t know much about it, but I imagine it has an arboretum, which I would be interested in visiting. ~

Gnai: ~ Response ~

Genkos sat forward, a finger raised as if having an idea.

Adea:  ~ Why don’t you join me for a stroll along the arboretum? Tomorrow, about midday? I can bring Toto and we could get lunch? ~
