Vitor was still asking himself what he was doing there.
Burger Nagus wasn't exactly his usual hand out. He hated slug cola, and the remaining cuisine wasn’t that much better. But they had a snack that really tasted like snails.
And right now he felt he deserved a treat.
Although they were in shoreleave Vitor ran away from his office for lunch at the station.
Although the Tactical roster was more stable now, after the losses and transfers due to the Frontier Day incident, adjusting the shifts had been a challenge.
And worse, he felt his roster was unbalanced. Vitor would be more comfortable with more torpedo specialists. The loading teams lacked experience, at least compared to the ones he had before. But he forced himself to put those problems behind him.
That was why he was in uniform and taking a break in a place he usually didn’t visit.
Vitor overheard the conversation between the cashier and the other customer.
He almost jumped in, but he let that unfold and he finished his snack and walked to the young Ensign. Vitor smiled as he stood next to his table.
Silveira: I hope I am not intruding, but I overheard the conversation, I can help if you wish to order something else.
Tarrik: Response
Vitor raised and eyebrow, shrugged and sat down.
Silveira: Well, in Starfleet we take care of our own. I understand if you don’t accept my assistance, but I had to offer it. I am Vitor Silveira, USS Artemis Chief Tactical Officer. ::he gestured to his uniform:: Don’t let this fool you, we are on shore leave so you can call me Sil or Vitor.

Vitor’s smile widen and he leaned back in his seat
Silveira: Really? Nice. Then welcome aboard. One more reason to help a ship comrade.
