((Turbolift, USS Artemis))
oO I’m gonna kill Kawarda. Oo
As the turbolift swirled upwards, Jozial fumed her anger over the encounter she had just moments before. After Dakora and the pretentious prick had found her on Deck 11 keeping Kader, altie or real, whatever, alive after he had acquired a gunshot wound to his chest, she had left the scene to get away from those people. She had learnt soon after that most if not all of the alties had been apprehended, meaning that her continued sweeps across the corridors were likely pointless and menial, and she already had enough tedious work to do on her own. Instead, she had decided to head to her quarters. She deserved a sonic shower and a clean uniform. She leaned in to take support from her knees over her exhaustion.
The turbolift stopped on Deck 8 on her way to her quarters on Deck 6. With the danger averted, the ship was returning to normal operations, so Jozial didn’t care a bit about the stop. Unless one of the attackers was going to share the lift with her, she didn’t have any interest in knowing with whom she would be riding for the next few minutes.
Kliss'lai: NO!!!!
Well, except for that one.
Confused, Jozial stood still as her crush rushed into the turbolift car with her, shouting “No!” and grasping her by the shoulders. After the altie ship had arrived, Jozial had checked if Kliss’ doppelgänger was aboard (of course she checked, imagine the possibilities: two Kliss’lais!), but just like with her own counterpart, there was no Kliss serving on the Dessdemon. Hence, she knew this must be her very own Kliss, and didn’t resist when the shouting Andorian pushed her to the ground with her in a quick motion, although that didn’t alleviate her confusion.
Kliss'lai: Nononononononono! Jozial, where are you hurt? Oh no. Please don't die. I don't want to live without you. Please please please, all the gods and saints, don't let her die!
Renirs: Kliss…
Kliss’lai: Response
Seeing Kliss so terrified pained her, but the way she cared for her warmed her heart. It felt nice. So did lying on the floor with her. As did her trying to find wounds all over her body. But Jozial had to say something to make her stop and calm down.
Renirs: Kliss. Honey. I’m fine. The blood’s not mine.
It took her a second to realise what she had just said despite her good intentions. It reminded their previous meeting in the turbolift during the shoreleave on the Cat Planet. She had just told that the blood she was covered in belonged to someone else. While she was carrying a set of guns. Making a girl think you just killed a person is a sure way to get into their hearts. And not just any girl, but a security officer.
Kliss’lai: Response
Renirs: I mean, I helped a guy who got shot by an altie gun. This is his blood, not mine. He was like that when I found him.
Kliss’lai: Response
Renirs: Umm, probably yeah. He was taken to sickbay. I had to use my jacket and belt to stop the bleeding. Talos came to help me with that.
Kliss’lai: Response
The doors of the turbolift had closed, but it wasn’t moving until Kliss would state her destination. The two were still on the floor, holding onto one another. Jozial considered standing up, but she wanted to stay like this for a moment longer.
Renirs: Soo… “I don't want to live without you”?
She tried to smirk playfully while saying that, but she was genuinely gleeful that Kliss had said that to her, causing her smile to come out dorky. Not only that, but by then her cheeks were entirely red for blushing.
Kliss’lai: Response
Renirs: ::laughs:: Okay! But you? Are you okay? Say you haven’t got hurt either!
