Ensign Natasha Cole - Stardust and Stationery

After having finished putting her cloths away along with her few possessions she had brought with her from home. She was relieved that the only bad thing to have happened in her shared quarters with Ensign Tho’Bi was things had mostly just been thrown about the quarters. She picked up the items that she presumed were Tho’Bi’s and placed them were she thought they might have been.

 

Sitting down in the common area she pulled out a box to reveal what looked like scraps of junk, but as she pulled them out and set them down on the small coffee table they appeared to be parts of an old hand held communicator circa mid 2150s.

 

Cole: Computer, start a personal message to my mother and sibling. ::picking up a small screwdriver and the base unit::

 

Computer: Recording.

 

Cole: Having survived not only my first away mission, but my first space battle, I’d say I am doing well. I managed to do some defensive driving and some creative problem solving. OW! ::accidentally poking her finger with the tiny screwdriver::

Setting everything down, she checked her finger and sucked it for a second, before continuing to tinker.

Cole: ::continuing:: I have a bit of free time before going off to explore Deep Space 224. So I wanted to work on that old communicator Aunt Rea found for me. ::examining it:: I’m still surprised at how good of a condition it’s in. ::joking:: Are we sure she’s not a time traveler? Before you ask, yes I am trying to make friends. I’ve had the chance to meet several of the crew and have plans to hang out with some new friends.

 

The doors to the quarters swooshed open and Tho’Bi staggered.

 

Tho’Bi: Response

 

Cole: Computer, pause recording and save. ::setting everything down::

 

Computer: Recording paused and saved.

 

Cole: You ok?!

 

Getting up to offer the exhausted engineer a hand up. He looked like he hadn’t slept in days.

 

Tho’Bi: Response

 

Cole: Sounds like you need this Shore Leave really badly. ::helping to his feet::

 

Tho’Bi: Response

 

Cole: Maybe take a shower and a nap before doing anything too exciting though.
