(( Jem'Hadar Transport Craft Crashsite | Medara - Betazed ~2376 ))

oO Is it normal for Jem'Hadar transports to have a sunroof? Oo

Jaseb could not understand the fact that he had survived. The sun on his palm warmed quite nicely. Sitting there, looking at the sunbeam, and watching the shadow play was calming. That silence was pleasant. So peaceful. So…

Savel's voice brought him back to reality, to the reality of pain, suffering, and war...

Savel: If you are still able, now would be the most opportune time to run. Very quickly. There will be whitebloods here soon.

Jaseb couldn't believe the reality they were living. They were constantly on the run, hunted like animals, desperate for a way out of this living hell. He couldn't bear it anymore…

oO Not again… Oo

Dakora: Response

Savel was in a hurry as he walked past Jaseb, searching for any useful supplies in the surroundings. They needed to leave immediately because time was of the essence. They were fighting for their survival, and every second counted. Meanwhile, Jaseb turned to the commander and offered a nod of approval. The commander helped Jaseb unfasten his straps and Jaseb used him as support as he lifted him from the chair. Suddenly, there was a loud bang that echoed through the cargo hold, signaling that Savel had successfully dropped the boarding ramp.

As they passed him, Savel finished his supply raid and joined them.

Savel: ::to Dakora:: Are you familiar enough with this area to suggest a direction of travel? Perhaps an even denser part of the forest? ::then to Jaseb:: If your wound prevents you from operating a weapon, please remain close to me. I will keep you covered.

Chevalier: ::smiles at Savel:: I can't be of much help, Mr. Savel. I need one hand to hold onto someone, so any help or cover would be appreciated.

Dakora: Response

As they dragged him out of the shuttle, Jaseb leaned on his friends, trying not to slow them down. He could hear the engines of Dominion vessels overhead, getting closer by the moment. Although he knew he and his companions had little time to escape, he had no idea just how little time they had. They had barely gone 200 meters when a group of Jem'Hadar suddenly appeared from behind trees and aimed their disruptors at them.

He could have had a better life, but he chose to live the way he did. Jaseb smiled.

The last thing he saw was a flash from the barrel…

(( “The Death” ))

oO So is this what death looked like? Afterlife? Where was the eternal forest, a sense of peace in the song of the wind? A cold breeze in the hair and the blue sky overhead? They promised...

Was all of that a lie? Oo

Jaseb gazed at the boundless whiteness surrounding him as if the air itself was rippling in an endless space.

He winked…
