Genkos smiled nonchalantly and waved his hand casually - it was nice of Vitor to ask about Kalianna. He knew that she and he were close and that the good doctor was his link back to Vitor’s previous CO.
Adea: Oh you know, the usual. Patrolling the Borderlands, fighting the good fight, ::a smirk:: pining after handsome Betazoid doctors.
Vitor smirked and nodded, in a silent thank you, to the barman as he set down his new beverage.
Silveira: Most certainly. Send her my love as well and…
Vitor paused. He started playing with his glass, staring at it as his smile died down. Genkos put down his glass with a dull thud as he considered his friend and colleague.
Adea: And..?
Vitor shrugged and took a long sip of gin. He set down the glass and looked back at Genkos.
Silveira: And I was going to say to give me a call if she needed a Tactical Officer. But I reconsidered. Who wants one that panics when he gets scratched? Not my brightest moment.
Genkos resisted the urge to put a hand on Vitor’s shoulder.
Adea: Do you want to talk about it?
Vitor leaned back, and Genkos could tell that the emotional floodgates were straining against the tide of the man’s feelings.
Silveira: I don’t know… There’s been a lot going through my mind… And my heart… ::He tipped his head and gave Genkos an apologetic smile.:: You of all people know how overly emotional I am and how that usually clouds my judgement.
Genkos shook his head - he felt that was an unfair assessment of Vitor’s strengths and weaknesses.
Adea: Vitor, that’s unfair. You’re not overly emotional - you’re simply emotional. And that’s no bad thing. Sure, sometimes you channel it in… ::he searched for the right term:: unproductive ways. And again, that’s okay. ::he paused:: Well, maybe the destruction of the Res wasn’t okay, but you understand my point.
Silveira: Response
Adea: In my experience, you, well not just you, a lot of people really, spend so much time het up about their feelings that they don’t actually process the why or how of their current emotions. So tell me, what is it that you’re thinking so much about?
