((Elysium, Deck 6- USS Artemis))
Sam watched as he took a bite and savored it, she quietly followed suit and took a bite of the Salad first. It was good. It was really good. With a slight hesitation she took a bite of the fish… He was right. It was delicious.
Silveira: So… What do you think? And seriously I can understand if you don’t like it, but it is really healthy.
Richards: Hmmm. I will need to eat a bit more before I decide if I like it.
She was lying. He probably knew it, but she would keep up the charade just for some fun.
There was a valiant attempt for her to eat her food without making it look like it owed her money or something. She was hungrier than she realized.
Silveira: Fair enough…
Richards: So. Tell me more about this arcade.
She had seen some films that showed arcades and one time she convinced Nathan to find a holodeck program for one, but they both ended up disappointed in the lack of arcade games and the abundance of sweaty child smell. She wondered if that was part of what made it “authentic”.
Silveira: It was a pet project, but I have to give a lot of credit to Imril. It started with the Arcades, and I had an idea on the decor. I went there briefly and he did the most remarkable job. And even added the pinball machines that I had forgotten.
Richards: I have to know. Do you have Dance Dance Revolution?
Sil seemed to be deep in thought for a moment as Sam continued to power through her food.
Silveira: I tried to find arcades for almost everyone, but admittedly I didn’t put any that required dancing. ::He leaned forward and set his fork in his dish:: Tell you what, we will go there once we finish and we set it up if it isn’t there. I am sure we can find some records of that arcade
Richards: Heck yeah! ::Pausing for a moment:: Although… I probably shouldn’t do too much dancing. Last time I did, it was… not pretty. ::Chuckling lightly:: Pregnancy and too much movement has proven to be… Projectile…
She grimaced a bit before taking a sip of her lemonade.
Silveira: My original thought was to have a program that everyone on the ship could enjoy and relax to. I mean Nan loved the arcade I picked for her. The Captain loved her racing game… ::He raised his finger and leaned forward:: Oh and you know who beat all the records… Al. That little… Well somehow she skipped inside and crashed all my highscores. Her initials… Well.. ::he smiled and shook his head and hand:: Let’s say its still in the highscore table and there are a few I cant beat. ::He smiled, recalling their former comrade. He hoped she was happy in the Ronin.:: I miss Al from the Helm. I hope she is doing well.
Richards: She was quite the presence around here.
Silveira: Anyway, if you also think of any other arcades we can easily place them. Now how’s the food?
She nodded and looked between him and her already almost empty plate.
Richards: It was, ::pausing for dramatic effect:: It was really good. You were right.
Normally Sam wouldn’t have given in so quickly, but she had already been enough of a little brat and didn’t want to push it too far.
Silveira: Response
Richards: Now, next time we hang out, I expect you to be the one to cook for me. ::Raising her eyebrow:: Hopefully I won’t be pregnant anymore and you won’t have to tell me it has to be healthy.
Silveira: Response
She held her hands up in surrender and laughed.
Richards: Think of it though, I can come over and bring the little ones for you to enjoy and I can enjoy your infamous cooking I keep hearing about. ::Smirking:: You can invite Jovenan too.
Silveira: Response
