((CMO’s Office, Sickbay, USS Artemis-A))
Genkos paused his scanning for a moment; he’d heard a variety of stories from the various survivors. Some remembered every minute, some only had a hideous highlights reel, but he’d not known anyone to completely block it out, albeit he hadn’t read the reports of every single assimilation survivor.
Adea: A little, I must admit. You don’t remember any of it?
Solas screwed up his face as he tried to remember anything from the assimilation. Genkos could sense that it was not terribly successful.
Kel: Just Savel stunning me, vague orders and getting blasted with that has outside of sickbay.
Adea: I understand. I’m still going to recommend you make an appointment for a session with Jashkaa or any of our other counsellors. You’ve been through an ordeal, even if you don’t remember it, and amnesia can leave scars all the same.
Solas seemed to bristle for a moment, but either repressed it or remembered where he was.
Kel: I think Lieutenant Sadar mentioned a counsellor would be getting in touch with me soon. I’ll um….I’ll try to start that healing process soon.
Genkos raised an eyebrow - normally when a patient said “I’ll wait for them to get in touch”, it was a sign of deflection or prevarication.
Adea: That’s what people say when they feel they have better things to do.
Kel: No sir I mean it. I have some things I need to work out and I’d rather not avoid it. I don’t imagine my counsellor will have an easy time with me but I’m not going to pretend there’s nothing wrong with me either.
Genkos picked up a PADD and immediately dropped a message to the counselling team to make an appointment with Solas as soon as possible.
Adea: Indeed.
Solas tapped his fingers against his thighs, and seemed suddenly rather impatient to get going.
Kel: Um well while I have you scanning me do you see any signs of a concussion or something? I know I hit my head pretty hard when I passed out during the attack?
Genkos shook his shaggy head for a moment.
Adea: No signs of concussion. ::he lowered his tricorder for a moment:: Have you somewhere else to be, Ensign?
Kel: Response
Genkos smiled in a reassuring way.
Adea: Not at all, Ensign. I am used to people not wanting to be here, hells, I’m used to chasing down certain officers to force them to do their checkouts. I’ve rarely encountered someone desperate for an appointment, but who wants the appointment to fly by…
Kel: Response

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
