[PNPC] LtCmdr. Glim Vel - Overjoyed

Glim Vel was ecstatic - he was no longer the Head of Operations - and someone else was. There was no Tellarite equivalent of “poison chalice”, but he’d heard the phrase from that pretentious Betazoid who liked to quote some old human writer he called the Beard. 

He’d hurried into the Operations department, in order to speak to his successor, but found they weren’t there - but the computer told him precisely where she was, and that annoying gnat Bergmen was already buzzing around her.

The doors opened to the catwalk above main engineering and he saw Bergmen sagging at the shoulders. He couldn’t help but feel that was a good thing. The man had been annoying him in his office enough times.

Bergmen: So what would you like to hear about FORT? Ma’am?

Vel: FORT? What’s that, Bugman?

Bergmen/Vailani: Response

Glim shook his head and turned to the newcomer.

Vel: Nobody wants to hear that, Bugman - I’m Lieutenant Commander Glim Vel, I used to have your job. And I’m overjoyed that it’s yours now.
