((Sickbay, USS Artemis-A))
Genkos was early, and spent a few moments tapping his cane on the ground in a slightly impatient manner. It wasn’t the patient’s fault that Genkos was early, that he’d needlessly rushed his silly golf game on the holodeck in order to rush back and do this person’s onboarding.
So it was with relief when he saw the unfamiliar Andorian face popping through the Sickbay doors - and he beamed at them in greeting.
Adea: Ensign Tho’Bi? A pleasure to meet you.
Tho’Bi: ::nodded and smiled awkwardly:: Yes, Sir. ::clearly noticing the three pips:: Commander.
Genkos didn’t extend a hand in greeting, as he knew a lot of humans did. This was partly because neither he, nor the Andorians were human, and partly because as a cane-user, it was a bit of a kerfuffle to swap canes and hands around in order to shake hands effectively. Then there was the additional fact that the hands of an Andorian tend to be pretty cold.
Adea: Genkos Adea, your friendly neighbourhood CMO. I believe you’re here for your onboarding medical check-in?
Bip! Tho’Bi glanced down at the PADD in his hand, whose alarm seemed to be going off. Tho’Bi hurried to switch it off, before stuffing the PADD behind his back. Genkos tried not to laugh.
Tho’Bi: Yes, sir, doctor, commander :: awkward glance aside :: sir.
Genkos nodded, but didn’t say anything. Instead, he merely gave the Andorian an ocular pat-down, taking in the uniform, size, body shape and countenance of the Ensign, before looking carefully at the cut on the man’s right cheek.
Tho’Bi: I must apologize. My transport to Risa was late. The warp engines were poorly maintained, well over a century old :: almost talking to himself :: maybe dating back to the first generation of constitution class heavy cruisers :: remembers himself :: which is why I haven’t actually reported for duty with Captain MacKenzie, yet.
Genkos smiled and nodded. He gestured to a biobed at his elbow.
Adea: Not a problem - take a seat. I will ping her and let her know you’re in sickbay.
Tho’Bi: Response
As Tho’Bi made himself comfortable on the biobed, Genkos sent a message to Addison to let her know the newest Ensign was in sickbay, if she wanted to say hi. That done, Genkos gestured to the cut on Tho’Bi’s cheek.
Adea: If I may, what’s that?
Tho’Bi: Response

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
