((Command Center - Grunden Base Camp, Kydon))

It was finally time to meet the Starfleet team sent his way. He watched as the group of them entered the Command tent. He stood from his small desk and gave a small growl, alerting his crew to stand at attention.

Kexxin: Hello and welcome. I am General Kexxin.

Vailani: Thank you General for hosting us.

Kexxin gave an affirmative nod at the woman before his attention was turned to an extremely nervous looking alien.

Sadar: ::twists anxiety band twice:: I-It’s nice to meet you, General. I-I’m Doctor Sadar. ::wrings her hands slightly::

Tho’Bi: ::bowed slightly:: Ensign Tho’Bi. I am of the Birev clan. My blood is of the Ice Moon of Andoria. My forebears were Engineers, as am I.

With a slight bow back, Kexxin gave the Andorian a small smile and a nod. He appreciated someone with a strong bond to their homeworld.

Cole: :: inclining her head :: General.

Gnai: Response

Kexxin: Thank you all for coming. It's uh.. ::raising his eyebrows:: been difficult around here.

He knew they probably weren’t pleased with the slight change of plans and having them come to him instead of meeting at the Capital, but there was no way he was going to abandon his post when he was needed.

Sadar: Is that why your medical tent was in such an uproar?

With a somber look on his face he simply nodded as his eyes closed for a moment. The sights and sounds of war were something he thought he would get used to, but that was far from the truth. Everytime is large eyes closed, it replayed like a horror holovid.

Cole: :: with candor :: Hopefully we can help in some way.

Vailani: Of course, General as you know, we are here strictly as observers to the conflict. I do worry our presence so close to the frontlines may be questioned by the Kobyar officials? It is important that we are not seen to be taking sides or aiding in the conflict at all.

Gnai: Response

He understood the concern, they had to stay neutral, but he didn’t.

Kexxin: Your best bet to staying impartial is to be here seeing what those slimy little– ::cutting himself off:: You must witness the atrocities that are being done to us if you want the full picture.

Sadar: W-We sympathize, General, b-but you understand we’ve received our own instructions? W-We were supposed to meet back in your capital city. The situation is hardly ideal.

His eyebrows furrowed hard enough they almost touched. The audacity of the nervous alien doctor, who clearly had no idea what all of this meant. Hardly Ideal… No kidding lady.

Vailani: We’d be happy for you to escort us to the Grunden capital city? It would provide a unique opportunity to see more of your world.

Gnai: Response

With a low growl, Kexxin rubbed his face. He didn’t want to leave his crew, but they couldn’t afford to lose Starfleet's assistance.

Kexxin: ::Gruffly:: Fine. But I have to make sure my team is settled first.

He looked around him, trying to catch sight of his EO. Not within his visible sight Kexxin moved over to the holomap, tapping in a code specifically for Naru. Once the code was entered it showed all of Naru’s information along the side, and a small dot on the map appeared, revealing his location. After a couple more taps a coded message was sent to Naru.

Kexxin: ::Turning back to the team:: Once my Executive Officer arrives, we can depart for the capital. As we head out, you all must understand you are my responsibility, don’t do anything stupid and keep your eyes open.

As he stood over the small metal desk, he caught sight of his reflection. Something he didn’t pay much attention to often. He realized how he must have looked to his visitors, with his dense pure black fur and large dark brown eyes. The long scar that cut through his fur down the side of his face and the piece of his ear with a large notch in it. Compared to them, he probably looked terrifying. In a vain attempt to soften his features he looked back up to them.

Kexxin: Naru is here now, we can go.

Gnai: Response

Kexxin took the lead as they made it out of the command tent, making a point to walk them past the chaos that the medical was still in. He wanted them to see it.

Sadar/Cole/Tho’Bi/Gnai: Responses

Vailani: :: carefully :: This is a very organised set up, is this a permanent location or do you move from location to location?

Kexxin: Since I took command here, we have been able to stay put. But we have proper procedures in place if we have to relocate for any reason.

He wanted them to see how meticulously he ran his command, walking them by their munitions area and makeshift Armory.

Sadar/Cole/Tho’Bi/Gnai/Vailani: Responses

Finally they arrived at the ground facility that housed their vehicles. The large fenced area also contained multiple holorock shelters, with armed guards nestled inside.

What they could see was multiple desert colored armored off-road, 4 seater vehicles. What they couldn’t see behind big metal doors, were their armored tanks.

Kexxin: These are what we call our grunts. Heavily armored, all terrain and ::smirking:: kind of fun.

Sadar/Cole/Tho’Bi/Gnai/Vailani: Responses

He patted the armored plating on the front of one of the vehicles.

Kexxin: ::Pointing to one of the grunts:: Can one of you handle one of these?

Sadar/Cole/Tho’Bi/Gnai/Vailani: Responses
