((Sickbay, Deck 07 — USS Artemis-A))
Yellir: No. I suppose I haven’t quite had the time for it. Although, I wouldn’t want to add to their workload— they might be busy given the recent crises we’ve endured.
Hallia shifted her weight on the biobed as she crossed her legs. Part of her felt the need to evaporate even just for a moment to regain her thoughts. The Yelikan had tried everything she could to avoid counselling— sheerly due to the fact that she felt so out of her depths with the idea alone. Hiro wasn’t there any longer, and suddenly just allowing an unfamiliar person to mentally dissect you was a harrowing thought.
Sadar: ::slight smile:: ‘Might be’, hmm... I would say that seeing as there’s a decent chance the recurrence of your nightmare was tied to one of these recent crises, an appointment of yours would be quite in order. Besides ::smile dims slightly:: I have on authority that they do have open slots.
She closed her eyes for a long and sustained blink. As moments passed her by she could feel the thought slowly rationalising in her mind. But without a doubt, this was on the record now. No matter where she ran, someone would know Hallia missed a counselling session.
Yellir: In that case— would it be too much trouble to ask for a referral, Lieutenant?
As if a cooling wave washed over the room, Gila seemed to visibly relax at the mention of her rank, and as did Hallia. As a natural reaction, when other officers got nervous, so did she. But it wasn’t something she could wear on her sleeve on duty, and it hasn’t been for a long while. For a while now she was aware that when she was the one who got anxious— others tended to follow along.
While part of her did question why, another part of her kept the thought wrapped away. Lieutenant Sadar was the first Mizarian she had ever met in person, and social faux pas were nearly inevitable to those uneducated. But whatever had passed, it passed with an impact. Like a pact made with some mystical fey from earth folklore, with mere spoken word being the foundation of that binding moment.
Sadar: ::warmer voice:: That would be no trouble at all, Sir. I’ll forward a referral to Commander Jashkaa as soon as our consultation has concluded. ::continues her scans:: Well, beyond the slight sleep deficiency that you’ve mentioned, I see no other causes to be concerned. Fit for duty.
Yellir: Perfect, then I shall be by the Counsellor’s office as soon as I can. Thank you.
Sadar: ::starts putting the medical equipment away:: Of course, Sir. It’s what we’re here for… And, uhh… Thank you. ::blunders:: F-For coming in, that is.
Yellir: Of course! Well, we all have to get checkups eventually, no need to thank me for the bare minimum.
Hallia rose to her feet, placing a hand on each side of her before pushing herself free of the biobed.
Sadar: Response?
She moved towards the door before stopping short of its threshold.
Yellir: If anything stops working in here, do give me a call. I’ll make sure it’s a priority.
Sadar: Response?
