[Begin Act 1] Commander Ava Munro - An Invitation

When they got the request for assistance from the Da'al provisional government, Ava was surprised. Everything that she had read about this particular major power in The Borderlands explained, in vivid detail, how they valued isolation over integration with other species.
It was a testament to the Artemis crew's efforts of that time that they had been invited back. Yet, Ava knew that sometimes an invitation was only a beginning. And she had no desire to destroy what little goodwill the Federation had established with the Da'al.
She looked to the team that had been led into the, now empty, hangar that used to house the Afalqi ship. The newly promoted Lieutenant Imril, and their latest junior officer, Gavrin Tarsan. Lieutenant Bancroft, the new Assistant CMO and Lieutenant Cole, both of whom had specific skillets for investigations.
Munro: The Captain -
Her voice echoed throughout the vast hangar and she stepped closer to the others.
Munro: :: slightly lower :: The Captain has ordered us to find any clues as to what may have happened to the Afalqi. If you need to refresh yourselves on the file, please take the time. Now is not the time to make mistakes. Even being here is an important step in the Federation’s relationship with the Da'al.
Ava sighed. It was a lot to put on them. She looked to Tarsan, on his first official mission, and offered him a reassuring smile. She was sure nothing could go wrong. They were only here to help with an investigation after all …
Imril/Tarsan/Cole/Bancroft: Response
Munro: Lieutenant Imril and Ensign Tarsan focus on the ship. I'd like to know if there was anything about the Afalqi that made it especially valuable to outsiders. The Da'al have given us temporary access to the basic Afalqi schematics, but a lot of that has been redacted :: shrugs :: Let's see if we can fill in the gaps ourselves without causing a diplomatic incident.
Ava suspected that the redacted schematics told a story of a more tumultuous political atmosphere than would appear at first glance.
Imril/Tarsan: Response
Munro: :: to Cole and Bancroft :: We're going to have a look around the hangar, see if we can find anything interesting. Roy Id like you to run some bio scans. Cole, I'd like a timeline of what happened here. If we're going to go chasing after that ship, I need some answers to a lot of questions.
