(( Quarters 33, Sector 14, Deck 4, USS Artemis ))
Ollie grinned as he watched his new roommate, who seemed friendly and relaxed—quite the opposite of his roommate back in OCS, who was anything but approachable and failed to set any boundaries.
Lyara: Oh just make sure the coffee table is clear. I like to keep an open space when I work, you know how it gets with crew rosters and inventory huh?
Ollie enthusiastically agreed, finding the request quite reasonable with nothing to dispute.
Bergmen: Works for me!
Lyara appeared satisfied with his response, at least that's what Ollie gathered from her expression.
Lyara: Just don’t spill raktajino over anything.
Ollie chuckled at Lyara's note. The idea itself seemed quite abstract to him.
Bergmen: No problem. First, I always use a closed mug, so if I happen to accidentally knock it off the table, nothing usually spills. Second ::grins:: I'm not a fan of raktajino anyway.
His new roommate appeared unfazed by his response, or at least that's what Ollie gathered from her immediate departure to her room without saying anything else. However, she suddenly stopped and turned back to Ollie.
Lyara: Oh by the way, I’m Bajoran and I practice chants and prayers every once in a while. I just want to tell you in case I’m too loud, don’t be scared to tell me.
Ollie offered a sympathetic smile and gently waved her off, showing no signs of worry about her note.
Bergmen: No worries! If your singing is as loud as you imply, we can figure something out. I'm pretty sure OPS has a couple of crates of noise-canceling foam in the cargo hold that we can use to cover the walls of our rooms. ::smile::
Lyara: Great, thank you for understanding.
Ollie nodded, grabbed his duffle bag from the table, and gestured his farewell to her. He was also getting ready to head to his quarters to settle down.
Bergmen: Nighty night, ensign roomie!
