(( Counsellor's Office - Deck 7, USS Artemis-A ))
Being asked to define her ‘ideal shore leave’ - especially considering this was her and her workaholic tendencies were well-known amongst the crew - was not what she’d anticipated having happen during a counseling session, but it also wasn’t entirely outside of her expectations. Lt. Commander Jashkaa did tend to lock onto the questions Gila didn’t want to answer.
Now, a way for her to say ‘I like working’ without admitting that she liked working.
Sadar: I, uhh... I think I’d... P-Perhaps visiting an archaeological dig site? Or a cultural festival? I... M-My sole ‘hobby’, I think, is studying other species’ cultures and histories. ::considers genuinely:: I also quite like visiting art museums. It’s an, uh, shared hobby with my nephew.
Lt. Commander Jashkaa nodded again, something she did often, and tapped on her screen - another thing she did often. It was always a very scary mannerism of hers, and Gila waited anxiously for her barbed analysis.
Jashkaa: Perhaps you could take your nephew to one of the many museums on Risa - this one focuses on Risan history and pre-history.
Not quite the barb she’d anticipated, but she looked at the screen that the Lt. Commander shared with her. It looked quite interesting, and she expected that Kolya would enjoy getting the chance to look at their historic art exhibits. Mizarian art hadn’t developed much over the centuries of their culture’s existence, so it would be a new experience for him...
Sadar: ... I hadn’t considered that. ::looks down in thought:: I think... I think he would enjoy the opportunity.
Jashkaa: Well, I recommend you make plans to visit the museum, Gila.
Gila knew it wasn’t intended to be an order, but that was nonetheless the response she gave.
Sadar: Y-Yes S- Counselor. I... I think I will do that. Kolya would enjoy getting off the Ship, I’m sure.
Jashkaa: What about games? I can understand that anything too… strenuous… might not be in your list of greatest activities, but there must be some kind of “fun” activity that would entertain you.
Sadar: I, uhh... I swim? ::pauses:: I mean, I e-enjoy swimming. And cooking.
Jashkaa: Response
Sadar: ::furious shaking of hands:: Oh, no, nothing like that! I-It’s just, uhh... I-It’s, uhh... C-Calming?
Jashkaa: Response
Gila slowly lowered her hands, her cheek folds vibrating uneasily.
Sadar: Y-Yes, I... I suppose so. I-I will do these things. A-As for the survey mission?
She hoped the leading intonation would be enough of a hint to lead Lt. Commander Jashkaa to make her professional ruling on Gila’s mental fitness for partaking in the mission.
Jashkaa: Response
