He smiled as she showed him the stars. He always loved seeing them. And he lowered his voice, whispering in her ear.
Silveira: This is so beautiful. It's like we are flying in space.
Jovenan: We can go to any point in the galaxy, as long as we’ve got data of it. Where’d you want to see?
Vitor raised an eyebrow. Where would he like to go? What did he wish to see?
One thing came to mind, but now it was his turn to wonder if he should say it.
Silveira: I am curious about a place.
Jovenan: Just name it.
He held her tightly and kissed her cheek, taking a deep breath. It felt nice to hold her like this. It was like they were both facing the future forward.
Obviously if there was any danger Vitor would put Nan behind him not in front.
But when they had such a marvel in front of them he loved holding her this way.
And it gave him strength to cross the challenges and not be afraid to talk.
They had spent way too much time with half words.
Silveira: I share the same concerns as you. I love you and don’t want to do anything that bothers you. But if you are comfortable I would like us to fly to your home world.
Jovenan: Oh. Uh, sure, we can go see that. But can I ask… Why?
He smiled and tugged her closer to him.
Silveira: I love you, I want to see where you came from, I want to share my secrets, fears and doubts. And I want to make you feel like you can share yours with me.
He felt her head resting against his again, sharing that floating embrace filled his heart with warmth. Nan really set up the best surprise.
Jovenan: I love you, too, and I want to share those things with you. And maybe I do have some issues with my, um, background and homeworld, but I also want you to see it.
He was glad that Nan wasn’t very uncomfortable with his request. Vitor was happy that they were able to communicate and avoid miscommunications.
They had enough of that and now that they were together it was important to keep the communication as open and as honest as possible.
Silveira: I am curious, but I will also be honored.
Jovenan: Computer, move to Rubicun III, scale 1 to 10 million. ::to Silveira:: This is the part where you might get a bit of motion sickness, you can close your eyes if you start to feel unwell.
He smiled and held her tightly. They started flying at high speed,crossing space, stars passing them as they flew. Vitor tried to get a bearing, recognize something, but they were traveling so fast he couldn’t find any recognizable star, constellation or anything.
They slowed down to finally be in front of a single planet. The starfield around it was completely unknown to him and he started looking at the planet.
Jovenan: Here we are. Are you still okay, love?
He was. It wasn’t that bad of a ride and he could keep holding her like this forever.
Silveira: I am, I am very good. It was awesome.
Nan extended her hand and pointed. Vitor followed her finger with his eyes.
Jovenan: See that area between the sea and the large lake? It’s too small to see, but there’s a village near one of the smaller lakes. That’s where I was born, and where my parents and all the many siblings still live.
Vitor almost asked about what had caused that… Rift… Or something between Nan and her family. But he simply held her more tightly. It was his way to quietly let her know that if she ever wanted to talk about it, he was there
Silveira: Thank you for showing it to me.
