Imril: Can I sit down?

Ollie didn’t look to have expected that. Which was fair, under the circumstances.

Bergmen: Yeah. Of course. ::pauses and glances over his table:: Do you… Want something to drink?

Imril wasn’t particularly surprised to hear the question. This wasn’t the Elysium. It was Ollie’s work space. He was, in a way, Imril’s host here.

Imril quietly shook their head as they took the seat which had once been Brexis’.

Bergmen: Or… is there something I can help with?

Imril: I suppose…. I suppose I should explain myself, from last time. My reaction to finding out how you feel about me. You deserve that much, at least.

Ollie nodded quietly, giving them the space they needed to share. Leaned in slightly, a warm smile playing on his lips, he remained silent.

Imril:  I was, to say the least, floored, by what you said. I wasn’t expecting it, so I got all up in my head about it. Because that's how I deal with unknowns, I start listing off the maybes and might-bes until... ::Small sigh:: ... I’m a work in progress, Ollie. There are things about my past, and how it’s shaped me, that I haven't talked about much on this ship. But it’s wrong of me to ask you to step back and think things through while denying you the information you should have to make a reasoned decision. So I’m thinking I could give you a rundown of the bullet points over coffee some time? Some time soon?

Bergmen: Response

Imril: Until then, this meeting took less time than I planned for when I sent in the absence notice. Is there anything I can do around here, in an engineering capacity, before heading back to the shuttlebay?

It was a roundabout way of saying that the silence between the two of them was over, if Ollie wanted that. That they could be -- were still -- friends and coworkers, and the rest could settle out over time.

How much time... That they didn't have an answer for. Yet.
